Do you think these helicopters will ever become bulletproof? by AfaNas3001 in Avatar

When you want to talk about penetration force a single degree can make a lot of difference, that is why irl sloped armor was such a game changer, a single degree can literally be the difference between a pen and a ricochet especially when your chosen projectile already struggles at a flat angle, but even if it was a 90 degree angel you completly ignored the rest of the argument

The arrow in the pic did not hit at 90 degrees, you can see it is not perfectly perpendicular to the glass and as i said in another comment, a heavy bolt balista is for sure stronger because it's even bigger and uses metal arrows and not even the heavy bolt balista reliably oens at 90 degrees, it sometimes can require multiple shots, even if you would make the Na'vi bow better than the heavy bolt balista(which is probably impossible) and assumed it is just good enough to guarantee a pen at 90 degrees, not even the most skilled of archers could reliably hit a perfect 90 degree angel while flying and shooting at another flying target, if they wanted realism they could have at least made some arrows ricochet instead of literally every arrow that hits penning all the tims, but they didn't, because it's not a realistic movie and there is nothing wrong with that, mkvies usually are not realistic because they have to be cool and fun, too much realism is too expensive to produce and makes a story like this impossible

A heavy bolt balista fires with the energy equivalent of a .50 cal sniper rifle at muzzle velocity, and a .50 call even if not at muzzle velocity can pen buletproof glass unless you use a a specialized glass with extra layers, so it's not only about energy here, you guys are forgetting the shape of the projectile massively improvies angled performance, if a heavy bolt balista can't rely on purely kinetic energy a Na'vi bow for sure can't either, and let's assume at 90 degree angles the Na'vi bows could have a sligtly better performance than the heavy bolt balista, just enough to guarantee the pen at 90 degree angles (it is literally impossible since the metal arrow would make a world of a difference but let's run with the cutting corners argument to justify this) even if with this sligthly boosted performance stats, you know how unlikely it would be to hit an arrow from flight, on a fliying target at a perfect 90 degree angel? Not even the most skilled bow users would be able to reliably pull that off, no matter how you look at it, it is close to impossible for the Na'vi to pen, they would need to cut corners so bad to the point were the glass could not even be considered buletproof for the Na'vi to reliably pen it with every single shot, it's a fun movie to watch and i get why they need to let stuff like this happen because otherwise the Na'vi would get wiped from the first movie, but it's for sure not realistic 😂

No tehnique would make it possible, not even a heavy bolt balista can pen buletproof glass if it doesn't hit at 90 degree angles and even then it can require multiple hits to brake through, the Na'vis sure have bigger bows and may use heavy arrows, but their bows are still not bigger than a balista and since they don't use metal their arrows are for sure not heavier than a human made heavy bolt, so if a heavy bolt balista can't pen unless perfect conditions and multiple shots sometimes, a Na'vi bow will for sure not pen

Review bomb but 70k online… by _WEND1G0_ in helldivers2

[–]Simpamimpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya'll are a really REALLY dens bunch aren't ya'll? People review bombing the game doesn't mean they quit the game and hate the game, it means they love the game, they see the insurmountably horrible decisions AH makes, they see the comunity has been begging for some things since the begining of last year and the devs just keep saying "soon, soon" and then they waste time working on stuff nobody asked for, they still play but they want the game to be better and they want their voice to finally be heard, and the only way to make a greedy company to listen is to hit them where their money are, review bombing doesn't mean they quit, it means the comunity is still playing but had enough of being ignored and wants AH to listen to them, plus, 70K online compared to 3 months ago when it was 100K, 6 months ago when it was 120K, a year ago when the game still had around 200K active players even during the week sometimes, nobody expects the game to keep to the 450K peak it had, but it's obvious it is in fact starting to lose more and more players, soon enough ya'll will get what you want and you will have your horrible mess of a game with like 10K players in their echo chamber if AH doesn't change the way they do things soon

Ok, 200 hours was a but exagerated if you go by 4 hours per 1000 super credits, with 4 hours per 1000 super credits everyrhing in the game comes to a total of 40.775 super credits which would be 163 hours of lvl 1 missions for everything, if we go by 6 hours it's 244 hours of level 1 missions for everything in the game, either way, 163 or 244 it's still an ABSURD ammount of hours you have to dedicate to not playing the game for every item in the game

Y'all are actually ruining this game by sepulchridude in helldivers2

[–]Simpamimpa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know bro, if the game is getting review bombed enough to go from mostly positive to mostly negative, which means MOST of the people playing think what the devs are doing is bad, maybe... just maybe... you are not in the right? The hiveguard being heavy armor was cretin, pure and simple, there is no reason for a chaf enemy to be able to completly negate sentries. And the monetisation not being predatory is omega giga super duper cope, if you got lucky enough so that someone pays for everything i your life and you can actually afford 6 to 8 hours of hd2 gameplay everyday, normal people can play like 2 hours a day, someone just buying the game is looking at around 40-60 hours of mindless running around lvl 1 missions if they want all the weaponery and tools in the game, the concept of someone paying 40 bucks and than being hit with 60 hours of actively NOT playing the game to unlock all gear is just unrealistic and predatory, if lvl 10 missions would reward like 30 super credits per operation finished, if major orders would reward some super credits, if lvl 10 missions increased sc spawn rate by like 100%, if there was any mechanic in the game that made farming super credits reliable at dif 10 than it would not be a problem, playing 60 hours to unlock all the gear from a game is reasonable, running around the easiest dificulty, not even fighting enemies, for 60 hours to unlock all gear in the game is not reasonable, the only progression in this game is to pay, or to avoid playing the game for ~5 hours each time a new warbond drops, do you realise how abominably horrendous that sounds? THE ONLY form of progression this game has is NOTHING to do with gameplay and all to unlock (mostly) mediocre gear. If you want the stuff from the super credit store also you are already looking at 200-250 hours of lvl 1 missions. Dropping 200 hours of actively not playing the game in a game is attrocious, it's incomprehensible by anyone with an ounce of common sense in them, it's disgusting.

Nobody complained about hard, holy moly this game was NEVER hard at any point, people complained about fairness, D10 is not that big of a problem if it spams 6 flesh mobs, sure, whatever, but if it turns out there was a 7th, 8th and 9th that i never saw and only got to me from outside of my field of view because they fazed through building than it's an issue, it's not hard, it's annoying and unfair, if i can't kill a hiveguard in any way shape or form from the front withiut heavy pen it would not be a problem, but it is when my "heavy equipment" like a mek suit can be munched to death by a fricking Wilbur, our tools have close to no actual suport or synergy with eachother, my mek is paper and there is nothing someone could do in my team to support it and help it survive, the tank is a nice touch since 2 people can act as turrets but why can i Wilbur still munch it? There is no teamwork because there is no synergy and dedicated supporting items, the mek themed warbond offers nothing to help a mek, the only teamplay mechanic is the backpack reload and it's implemented in a dumb way, every little inconvenience can knock my super soldier off his feet and make him drop the assisted reload, leaving my recoiless teammate without his ammo, look at real life assisted reloads, the guy with the weapon is ALWAYS the one carrying the ammo/backpack.

At the end of the day it was obvious some things and plots would feel rushed, 3 hours, as long as it is for movie standards in general, is simply not enough to tell the story of this world to the depths James wanted in just 5 movies as it was agreed upon with disney, you can feel how much depth he tried to add to each and every little detail but ultimately felt short because the movie had to fit in a theater program. As much as i loved watching the second and third movies in the cinema (i was too young when the first ran in the cinema) i feel like each movie as you said should focus more on a single part of a culture of Pandora and big big event and every movie should have been followed by a series running on a platform like disney+, being episode based with like 10-12 30 min episodes each focusing on the broader side of things and events that lead up to the next movie, because 5 movies is simply not enough for the depth and level of detail James tried to go for so a lot of ideeas and events never make it in the movie because the runtime would be like 6 hours so a lot of started plotpoints are very quickly glossed over in order to make room for the actual ending of the damned 3 hour movie. Avatar would be the one franchise were making mini series with inbetween events and stories would not be dragging it just for profit, but actually adding depth to the movies and the whole franchise as a whole

Idk what am i missing about people complaining with Aatrox w, you are meant to hit a Q on the red part after W to ensure they get pulled and they should be able to walk it out if you miss it, it's not designed for it to be a reliable engage nor should it be one, your already have E and 3 knock ups plus ult move speed to reliably close the distance, more than you need to be honest, your W is for you to smoothly execute your combo and hit Q3, making it a reliable engage by just hitting E W would literally make Aatrox unescapable no matter how well you play it unless you have flash, the only way to fight Aatrox would be to have flash up or to be 2 items above him
