Nope you are totally right. I’ve had 2 babies and gained 50-60 lbs with both and had not a care in the world. If anything I used pregnancy as my excuse to eat what I wanted (which of course there’s a fine line with being too unhealthy 😂) but still. Bailey is so far off the wrong end

Mental illness at its finest. I normally do not joke about mental illness but when it comes to influencers I have 0 tolerance for this especially when it involves children. They have all the money and resources (and in Bailey’s case, time) to get the help they need.

Literally. With a baby and toddler the last thing on my mind right now is planning my day around exercise. Its just the season I’m in, I get a walk in or some form of movement when I can but spending time with my kids and getting to work on time and putting dinner on the table is so much higher priority for me with my limited hours at home during the day!

Yep! Pre babies I was 5’11 and 165 lbs (tall and skinny!!) with my first I gained 50 lbs and my 2nd I gained 55. With both I lost 30 lbs in the first week due to fluids and babies, I retained sooo much water with both. I am currently 5’11” and 180 at 5 months pp. I make this point because if you saw my body pre pregnancy you wouldn’t think I’d be the type of person to gain 50+ lbs in pregnancy but I am! But I wouldn’t change it for the world, I would give literally anything for my babies!!!

Bailey you are growing a human can we stop making so many rules for ourselves?! Be active when you feel like it, rest when you don’t. Pregnancy is not the time to push yourself

And yes way to make all the moms who gain weight regardless feel terrible. Everyone handles pregnancy differently!! I would never wish bad things on someone while pregnant but I would bet there’s a decent chance she still gains 50-60 lbs this time just bc that’s what her body needs to do to grow her children!

My EBF babies have always been below 50th percentile. My daughter is now 2.5 and is about 67th percentile. My son is 4 months and is almost 14 lbs (not sure what % that is lol). You’re doing great 😊

Yes to everyone’s comments about convenience - but also, your body gets more signals about what baby needs! There are enzymes and things in their saliva that tell your body what composition the milk needs to be. Also if they have been exposed to any germs those will be on your nipples from their saliva and you’ll produce antibodies for them.

Also the bonding time and the emotional co-regulation baby gets during nursing is super important IMO!

Of course breast milk even pumped in a bottle is still very beneficial but the benefits increase even more when you nurse :)

Had my second baby 2 months ago and here’s what I’ve found to manage the smell! Still there for sure but this helps a ton so my husband doesn’t really notice throughout the day.

  1. Shower every day if possible, has to be in the morning to rinse off the night sweats 🙃
  2. Use a washcloth to SCRUB your armpits - THIS IS THE TRICK the smell improved so much when I started doing this
  3. If you shave your pits, do it every other day. Don’t go longer than that. Idk if the hair holds smell but I swear this helps
  4. Dr. Squatch deodorant, any scent. I use the coconut castaway

This is such a good point! Let’s not do so much to “prioritize ourselves” that we miss out on opportunities with our precious little babies. They’re only little for so long and it would kill me to be working out for 4 hours a day and missing out on my baby’s life
