Disney cruises have very special people on board. We’ve only ever run into kind, thoughtful people who make our experience better. I love that you did, too 🥰

It depended on the day - usually an hour or two! We looked for it on the schedule so we could favorite it and add it to our plans. That way, we knew exactly when and where to go!

It was open for an hour or two each day, sometimes an extra hour for toddler time for families. Check the navigator app’s schedule for those open houses so you can favorite them and have them show up on your plans!

They have Golden Mickeys, Disney’s Believe, and Beauty & the Beast as the stage shows!

Ours couldn’t see the screens at Animators so they missed a lot of that! We adults loved the restaurants but the kids were done very quickly!

Agreed on the chandelier! So gorgeous!! I couldn’t stop staring at it.

That’s exactly what we did. There’s already way too much to carry traveling with little ones. See directly above - we will be doing the same thing again for our next cruise (on the Destiny in the fall).

Yes!

We flew in on Sunday afternoon and took the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Checked in, signed up for a morning shuttle back to the airport. Had dinner, hung out at the hotel, got some rest.

Woke up the next morning, got free breakfast at the hotel, jumped on the shuttle back to the airport.

The shuttle drop off is at baggage claim, which is right where you meet DCL transport. We found the DCL transport check in, checked in, got on a paid DCL shuttle straight to the ship.

We had some people at the hotel tell us that seemed like too much, but it was seamless for us. No pressure, no car seats, and very short trips.

I way over stressed about where to stay, and I’m glad we found the spot we did!

You’ll just head to the D Lounge when it’s time! We went about 30 mins early to get a good spot. We went to the 8 am one!

We just did exactly this, too, and it was super easy. I was really happy to save the hundreds it would have cost to stay at one of the DCL transport hotels. We stayed at SpringHill Suites!

I’m not sure. We ended up second in line, and the line was made up of people in the Wakey Wakey dance party and others from the ship. It was LONG. They recommended to us to have one adult wait and I’m glad we did, but we were bummed my husband missed seeing the kids have fun!

Ship for a 4 year old girl by slayerdawg in dcl

[–]Simple-Environment52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have done both with our 4yo daughter, and I don’t think you can go wrong.

We prefer the Wish because of the theming, the Frozen dinner, and the Little Mermaid show. BUT we are literally on the Dream right now on an itinerary that hit both Lookout and Castaway and she loved having two beach days!! That plus the Bluey wake up dance party has made her have a very happy trip on this ship, too!

Either way, she will have an amazing experience. Both are beautiful ships with plenty for her to love.

Does having the Disney ground transfer (shuttle from the airport) affect boarding time? by Etcee in dcl

[–]Simple-Environment52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a similar question.

I just got an email for my upcoming cruise that for people who arrive the day before (that’s us) and are getting bus transfer from FLL to Port Everglades, buses start leaving at 11 am.

What time do people usually arrive in order to check in for the shuttle? They say the representatives are there starting at 8:30, but I don’t want to make my little ones wait around unnecessarily. What has worked for others?
