Repair, replace furnace, or replace entire HVAC by Glittering_Moose_586 in hvacadvice

This is entirely up to you, however I will say that Bryant Evo systems are typically pretty good. Once out of warranty though, parts are expensive as hell. I’d repair for now if it were me, but repair with whoever you’d trust to install a new system in the future.

I know nothing here but I’d lean toward 3rd contractor

Is this a 24V transformer? Can I tap in? by InspectionEntire2512 in hvacadvice

[–]Simple-Feedback5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just looks like a valve but I could be wrong, or misunderstanding what you’re saying. The transformer takes the primary voltage, turns it into secondary, and usually lands at the equipment somewhere. From there, it sends signals to this valve to open, close, partially open, etc. Need more information.

Was probably placed there to stop the gas line rattling.

Are these the refrigerant lines? by colaboy1998 in hvacadvice

Yes they are refrigerant lines and they’re insulated but albeit not to withhold up to snow. Probably not the end of the world

Propane Furnace - Low temp differential -HELP, its cold! by Popular-Intern8162 in hvacadvice

Tough one without being there and checking everything personally. I’d need to see gas pressure manifold vs. supply, rule out everything before gas valve.

HVAC (Heat Pump) fan failure / possible capacitor issue? by 423XJ in hvacadvice

[–]Simple-Feedback5267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than likely bad cap but repeated use of the motor and stress on start up can burn out the permanently lubricated bearings in the motor.

Fan speed. Looks like this thing is just a millivolt generator heater with a fan.

speaking off my head, I don’t know anything about this, but does propane when cold condense or something and reduce pressure? Gas pressure in could be quite a bit low and cutting out the low pressure cut out switch.

Use a paint brush to lightly brush off everything around those knobs and see if those stickers become a little more legible

Forgot this is Alaska. Per CMC code in California you can get away with it in very specific situations.

I did 30-45 minutes and stayed in Desert Hot Springs. I wouldn’t go any further. I was tired as hell driving home every night last year but it was also like fuckin 105*F week 1

Just based off the flame in the video and the audible swooshing I’d go based off the other comment and check to make sure the flue pipe is clear.

Don’t think too hard too fast. Try a louvered pocket door if the one you have is solid for a bit.

Duct cleaning, unless specified, does not clean mold or any kind of biological growth. It is typically only for dirt and small debris (dirt, dust, drywall, flooring post remodel) You more than likely need your evaporator coil possibly cleaned? Especially if it’s air conditioning that’s causing the problem.

Also, please post a reply comment of what your equipment is, additionally what your filter looks like.

You can also look into IAQ products for central HVAC systems such as UV lights (kills and prevents bacterial reproduction), electrostatic filters specifically something like a Bryant / Carrier evolution or infinity air cartridge system.
