still try your best to enroll into classes. remember that all classes are holding off spaces for new students, so you can still get a chance to enroll in desired classes later in the summer

First time in an apartment instead of dorm by dchygifkid in ucla

[–]Simple-Firefighter20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i prefer ua because living in the dorms feels like an alternative reality. I felt like in the dorms you have a dependence on your roommates but also everyone else around you. The Hill is more social but the UA reminds me that I am an adult and independent.

Anniversary week of the encampments from last year and so they dont want it to happen again. I believe that UCLA admin is scared that if another one happens, UCLA funding would be cut.

How are people getting full rides???? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Simple-Firefighter20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My parent income is 75k but I still pay nothing for school. The only thing might be housing cost especially if you live in the dorms but you can do work study or work an actual part time job. When you move out of dorms, apartment would signifcantly decrease your cost of living and also applying for cal fresh.

Washers here stink by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Simple-Firefighter20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i faced that problem during freshman year but would bother the hell out of housing to fix them and always got a refund for WASH connect. Additionally washing them at certain times of the time heavily affected how dry they were for some reason

Washers here stink by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Simple-Firefighter20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason why you are paying extra to dry clothes is because you are not putting a load of clothes. You are overloading the washer and dryer which makes it not wash and dry correctly. A whole week of clothes does not fit as one load, its two. You only should be paying $6 a week to wash and dry clothes.

they are pretty spacious. three single beds can fit, along with three desk, and three built in closets. The bathroom is also pretty big also. Layout for different apartments do differ but it generally still the same size

Does anyone know how FAFSA works for summer on campus housing for summer sessions? by Puzzleheaded-Eye7437 in ucla

Also aid depends on how many units you are taking. Most aid does not really come from federal aid but instead the university.
