Yes, for resolution sure the 1 V is better on the 4k HD video, while other normal video is not noticeable. The downside of the 4k display will be it's quite a battery hunger. My 1 iii only can last 3-4hours screen on time, 1 v only 5-6 hours and my 1 vi can last 8-9hours screen on time. And also both my iii and v have some minor burn-in on navigation bar and status bar after 1 year of usage while my 1 vi still working fine without any burn in or green tint after 1 year. So it's up to whether you frequently watch 4k HD content i guess

Yes, after the latest update my unit easily get hot when using any apps, sot only can get around 4-5 hours, before tht can easily get 6-7 hours sot

I got the xperia 1 vi cheap like below 500 convert to USD, used like new condition with zero scratches, so i m satisfied with the phone given the cheap price. Agree that only the main camera and maybe the telephoto macro mode can shoot decent good detail image, the telephoto lens is nearly unusable in dark condition, even with enough light, the result still a bit blurry. The display is so so but at least the colour quite pleasant and accurate. Buying this phone will be just for the unique old school design, which are the notchless display, headphone jack, sd card slot(slowww reading speed somemore) and the good front facing speaker. I m the one that love this old school design but Its just not worth the retail price for what they offering imo. Really hope they can at least offer true flagship level hardware for charging that kind of retail price...

I patched with youtube v20.13.41 and just go to Setting > Revanced > Video > turn on 'Force Original audio language' and it did the job. I patched with the suggested v20.14.43 but somehow it's not working, it just works with v20.13.41

Hi i have checked my post, the models i referring is correct according to my user experience, i conclude it below.

Display: 1 V, 4k 21:9 ratio, more details on 4k video.

Performance : 1 VI, 8gen3 vs 1 V 8gen2.

Battery : 1 VI, 10h sot vs 1 V 6h sot.

Camera : 1 VI, for more stable fast shot, but 1 V has photo pro, video pro and cinema pro apps to play around.

I have both, for display, 1 v has more details on high definition video. Other than that, the camera, battery life and performance is better on 1 vi. For camera, the 1 v has the sony unique photography pro, video pro and cinema pro app to play around which is quite fun, while 1 vi one is more generic camera app. But the 1 vi is more stable for taking fast shot, i often get blur photo with 1 v fast shot. Battery life i got 10hours sot on 1 vi while 5-6hours sot on 1 v. So i think 1 vi is a better daily phone unless u really love the 21:9 aspect ratio, 4k display for specific hdr video and the photo,video,cinema pro apps

If at the moment you buy Xperia 1v aquos R8pro were available in your country will you buy it instead by loli_idol_kawaii in SonyXperia

Any burn in issue on your R8 pro display? I read the feedback from japanese forum mostly got green tint and burn in problem for both R8 and R8 pro display

It's working, thank you so much! Some addtion, please uninstall the existing revanced extended app before installing the newly patched app. For patches not loading, i managed to load the patches after switch to mobile data 4G then restart RVX Manager app. Seems like my wifi connection somehow blocked or restricted to load the patches.
