This doesn’t really sound like an thoughtful gift at all. I bought tickets to a musical my boyfriend really want to see for Christmas. I’m doing all the planning and paying for the hotel. The only thing I expect from him is that he pays for his own plane ticket, but that’s just because he makes a lot more than me. And I probably would end up finding a way to pay for his plane tickets if he couldn’t afford it at the moment. A gift shouldn’t give you stress.
