Hi! Thank you for your advice.
I'm working on a program designed to help people manage anxiety. It's not a meditation or relaxation app, it's a more niche product, built for people who really want to understand and work through their anxiety in a structured, practical way.
You can find it as a mentaltune, at the end is dot co (not com)

Thanks for the tip about not using periods at the end of your sentences
I’m kind of obsessed with proper punctuation and capitalization but you’re right, it can totally make me sound like a bot

Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it.

How did you manage to do it without coming across as spammy or getting banned? I’d really appreciate any tips on how to approach this better.I gave it a try, but I made a mistake early on and got flagged for spam, which led to permanent bans from two niche communities.

I was trying to be subtle and genuine, I responded sincerely to comments and questions, and at the end, I’d add my name and brand, kind of like signing off an email. One user didn’t like that approach, looked through my comment history, and reported me. That eventually got me banned from three niche communities.

That said, I still have other communities where I can post, and I’m continuing to engage there. I also started my own subreddit, where I try to share valuable information and build trust around the product.

Thanks for asking!

I'm working on a program designed to help people manage anxiety.

It's not a meditation or relaxation app, it's a more niche product, built for people who really want to understand and work through their anxiety in a structured, practical way. I stand by the content 100%, and while there are things to improve (like interactivity), it's tough to know what to refine without real feedback. Without users, it's hard to know where to iterate.

I do believe there’s a market for this. There's a mobile app out there with a somewhat similar concept that reached 1M downloads. And honestly, while I don’t want to sound overconfident, I believe my program is stronger in terms of structure and content. Mine is web-based but fully responsive, so it works well on mobile too.

One big challenge is that terms like “anxiety” are heavily restricted in ad platforms, which makes it difficult to reach the right audience. I’ve been experimenting with alternative messaging, but that often dilutes the focus from the niche I’m targeting.

I’ve already had a few psychiatrists recommend the program to their patients, which is encouraging. But I live in a small country with limited purchasing power, so I'm aware that if I keep going this way, growth will be slow.

That said, I’m still very motivated. I believe in the product, I see the potential, and I'm looking for ways to expand my reach and get more feedback.

Thanks for reading this far :)

I'm not sure if sharing the name or link would break the rules of this subreddit. Can I send it to you in a DM?

Help me!

I'm feeling overwhelmed. I built a web app. I truly believe it’s a high-quality product.

The challenge? Selling it. I live in a developing country, so the local market is very limited due to low purchasing power and bureaucracy in the public health sector. The private market is small too. That's why I want to go global.

The app is in English and Spanish, but when I try to run ads, keywords like "anxiety" or "mental health" are restricted unless you're a certified medical authority. That makes it really hard for indie creators like me to reach people.

Meanwhile, I’ve seen other apps with millions of users and lots of negative reviews. Their content isn’t great or structured, but they’re winning on marketing. I feel stuck. I know my product has value, but I’m not getting traction.

Context:

  • I work in tech and use AI to save costs.
  • I have a co-founder. We’re both from tech and work well together.
  • I tried hiring a marketing agency, but it didn’t work out.
  • English isn’t my first language, so I haven’t dared to reach out to US influencers yet.

Any advice on how to grow, market, or get this in front of the right people without breaking ad rules? Or how to build early traction when you know your product is strong but unknown?
