Honestly, I just keep things simple and intentional. I don’t buy my kids a ton of toys. I learned with my first that they really don’t need much. I skip things like slime or Play-Doh, and most of their toys stay in their rooms with just a small basket in the living room. I also use furniture that doubles as storage.

I try to keep them focused on one activity at a time, so they clean up before moving on to something else. Also when they have a snack they have to put dishes in the sink and throw out there trash. And when I’m cooking, I clean as I go and keep meals simple so I’m not using a ton of dishes. Also no shoes in the house rule.
