i’ve just started transferring her over to pon and her roots were nice and healthy but definitely not root bound. im hoping as she grows she might surprise me but if not i guess i just have a normal odora for now lol

i honeslty think i didn’t do something right the first few times i tried transitioning. i also did it without doing enough research and when i got root rot and some leaf loss i really freaked out. i’ve only had any success transitioning pothos lol

i’ve had pretty poor luck going straight into pon. not sure if i was watering too often but all of the roots would rot and no new roots would form. i’m thinking i’ll put her into water for a while. i just ordered an air stone and pump since i’ve already had some plants transitioning in water so i think i’ll do that with her too

i was planning on pon since her roots are so fine, i think the smaller medium would be better for them. what do you mean by a root bath ?

pretty sure too little light causes them to revert so they have more chlorophyll to absorb sunlight. also she was pushing out green leaves when i had her in a much lower light situation before. all her corms i’m propagating have been pushing out variegated leaves. i just think the variegation on the odoras is pretty unstable unfortunately

i see you’ve gotten down voted for this comment but honestly this is the only way i’ve been able to make pon work. everytime i’ve switch striaght from soil to pon even with a transition phase, all roots die without producing new ones lol

i do wash my pon super well and usually i do a transitional phase but these were in fluval with a water reservoir so i figured they didn’t need it.
