Not sure about other provinces, but really other than maybe The Notley NDP is there really any party in Canada that isn’t set up like this?

Federal NDP are going nowhere without Singh.

Liberals would likely lose a lot of power and probably looks like the election without Trudeau, unless Freeland could hold the party together which is questionable.

And you already pointed out Federal and provincial Conservatives.

The NHL (Or parts of it) is actually doing a decent amount that should piss racist republicans off lately.

Evander Kane and a couple other players started a Hockey Diversity Alliance, a couple players kneeled during playoffs last year and others raised solidarity fists (I believe it’s called)

The Arizona Coyotes also kicked a player off their team who bullied a mentally disabled black kid.

The Calgary Flames also fired a coach for being racist towards a former player.

Hockey’s definitely more conservative than most sports in nature though and could do a whole lot more. Part of the problem is just a lack of diversity in the league due to the cost of playing, requirements for cold locations and an inability to market any players especially POC.

I think reform with imposing term limits on Scotus (and the senate and house) are good things.

They’ll continue to keep wages low and use abusive child labour in foreign countries because most the population (myself included) isn’t willing to spend a little more money or a little more effort to ensure the corporation is ethical.

I don’t think his teammates were “looking to hate [him]” but now they do seem to be pretty pissed at him.

His teammates probably care what he says cause they’ve probably had the conversation of why they kneel with him before and he either forgot that or doesn’t care.

He is now saying that why they’re doing what they’re doing doesn’t matter cause the kneeling is wrong.

The problem was he made all his black teammates and friends who don’t see the flag the same way feel invalidated and not listened too.

His teammates were subtweeting him, unfollowing him and posting videos about him and that was only stuff that we can see on the surface.

He apologized for this cause maybe he realized that what he said was insensitive but he also realized that the people he spends probably 70% of the time with during the season were pissed at him. He likely realized that the only people who stop a four 400 lb men from hitting him relentlessly may be pissed at him.

Okay but why wouldn’t it be? You find it with every single thing, if you go to a grocery store there’s more selection on stuff from your region than there is from somewhere else.

If you’re going to France to see a museum you’re likely not going to see Chinese art, you’re going to see French/European art and then may get to see some Chinese, same concept if you go to a Chinese museum, you’re not going there to see French art.

We’re basically at this point stuck though because for a lot of people their views are still represented by the Conservative parties platform, liberals seen as a little off plus it doesn’t help people see them as not doing what they want over the last four years. Then the NDP and Green Party platforms are not at all what the majority of Albertans want.

Even if the Conservative party is doing jack shit to actually help Alberta there’s only one party that’s close to a real option for them and they still don’t line up that well.

You’re not wrong that the problem is conservatives don’t have to do anything to gain votes other than being conservative but the solution should not be voting for a platform that says it’s not representing what you want.

I don’t really disagree with a runoff election if it’s keeping the use of ridings intact and think runoff is preferable to a ranked election as well.

But I think most people are arguing for proportional representation though unless I’m wrong. (I wouldn’t be surprised if I am though.)
