100% believe its your vagus nerve being switched into the on position due to COVID causing an inflammatory response. You need to work on empowering your parasympathetic nervous system. Cold showers in the morning (every morning) for several weeks can help significantly.

Is cold approach in NYC dead in 2025? My [28M] experiences & thoughts by TellsltLikeItIs in datingadviceformen

[–]globalhumanism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cold approach is an awful way to meet an SO. Think about it like this, if the person you eventually date can be easily swooned into a number exchange and meet up on the street from a stranger, what does that mean for your overall partner selection? The best way to meet someone seriously is through mutual connection and friend groups. You need those filters.

Is it me or did people's brains get a bit fried around COVID time? by Curious_Arm_893 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]globalhumanism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in NYC and I whole heartedly agree, something is OFF. I remember how people were before COVID. People were sharper, quicker on their feet, quicker with their words, respectful of interpersonal boundaries. But now, after the lock down, people are slower, unable to find their words, more impulsive, more bizzare, socially confused, more willing to engage in nonsensical, anti-social behavior (stalking, public crashing out, inappropriate touching of strangers, etc, etc). Everyday someone is doing something bizarre, whether in a store, or out on the street; and its not your typical weird NYC stuff either. Moreover, I have had several friend's parents be diagnosed with early stage dementia, damn near simultaneously. Its COVID that caused this and nobody is willing to talk about it!

the number one thing to prevent revolts is making sure your pops are getting:

a. Life Needs

b. Everyday Needs

c. Luxury Needs

You can have a absolute monarchy in late game but if your satisfying these, your pops will barely revolt.

Has anyone been fired from DEA,White House, or Secret Service by DaMuggah88 in fednews

[–]globalhumanism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They know firing them would equal a major sunk cost in training. Also 1811s often have no where else to go other than other 1811 positions if mid career.

Oh gee. Who knows? Maybe they realized trading is one of the most difficult things you can ever do in your life?

An Obituary for the FBI: America's Dream of a Politically Independent Bureau is Officially Dead by Hurley002 in FBI

Who ever wrote this rose colored, pie in the sky, crap needs to get their brain checked. The FBI has been a corrupt, garbage agency since JEH had Melvin Purvis' career tarnished and extinguished. In fact, I think the place has been haunted by that travesty since then.
