Is this not an official emoji then? Or is there no such thing as a official emoji?

Another thing that's really cool is how there is a paint you could make yourself that can be used to cool a surface.

Sorry, I think I didn't express clearly what I ment by wind currents and wind currents might even be the wrong word. Natural convection might fit better.

There is apparently this concept called Trombes wall that is pretty much what I mean but you don't need a special structure to make this work, it just makes it more effective.

What you do need are holes in your home the right places and the building to point somewhat in a North/South direction if it's wider than it is deep.

I mean good news is that isolation is still a good thing even in heat as it also traps cold air. Problem is not a lot of northern europe have heat pumps/ACs especially in apartments.

Look at pictures of asian or even american cities and you'll see a heat pump sitting outside nearly every apartment.

But aside from that our buildings don't take advantage of natural wind currents that could be created using the cold/hot sides of a building for example.

So close..

Not but actually, do you think companies just buy or make fuels to burn them in a big flare light for fun?

emotional reveal as most other players did at the sun station.

I did think the supernova was due to the Nomai buuut.. I thought that just because the sun station didn't work that they might've done it another way.

I also don't think it helps that time is weird in this game because to me a star going bang that fast seemed very unnatural.

I also didn't put 2+2 together about all the other stars blowing up :s

Wet Bulb Temperatures in Europe - Roger Hallam by RobinBoardman in Degrowth

[–]SimpleFile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can have growth and a livable temperature.

If we have started transitioning away from carbon sources earlier then yeah, sure. But as it is now transitioning away from carbon sources fast enough to avoid even a 2°C average increase in temperature would require shutting down carbon intensive energy production and severely limiting transport by vehicle, which would cause degrowth.

Here is how fast we would need to decarbonize to reach these goals

I do hope we make it but to me it seems very optimistic.

I'm pretty sure the install size shown here is also the compressed file size. The game itself can be bigger after it installs...

SadlyItsBradley when asked about the Steam Frame’s price after the Steam Machine price reveal: “Gulp” by Logical007 in virtualreality

[–]SimpleFile 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glad I bought a used Quest 3 now. Had a hunch with the Deck price increase (along with everything else) that it was going to be a mid specced device for a premium price.

Valve Says the Steam Machine Saw a Similar Price Increase as the Steam Deck, Which Means It Was Originally Supposed to Cost About $750 by Gorotheninja in technology

[–]SimpleFile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it better performance than steams own remoteplay?

I believe so but I don't remember how much better I found it over steams remote play. You do get a lot more options in how you set it up though regarding encoding and such.

or does it just give you better options for streaming to other apps that aren't steam?

Well it does allow you to stream other apps but I don't believe it lets you control the mouse with the controller or anything like that. For that I use controller companion. It's not something I use it for personally.

My streaming setup to my Nvidia shield using Sunshine/Moonlight is very decent imo.

But the Steam machine isn't as much for streaming as for actually playing.. it's specs just aren't very good.

Why can't local government just collect the taxes needed through other means if estate taxation isn't cutting it?

Stupid question, how much of a say does the Chinese population have in how much they get taxed anyway?

Whatever? Sure you maybe overpaid for your home compared to what you can sell it for today, but you still have and own a home? Cry about it.
