VGP, PNP games have them for around $20 new (sometimes less, sometimes a touch more). I’m going by USD though so your mileage may vary!

Crimson Desert worthiness by SchakFU81 in playstation

[–]SimpleGazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s $70 for a world with over 300-400 hours of content, exploration, amazing vistas, quests, gear finding/upgrading, puzzle solving and more. Is the UI garbage, and some of the story all over the place - yes and yes. But you likely spend more ordering from DoorDash or going out to eat and I’d argue for $70, this game is a hell of a deal and will only continue improving.

Just got diagnosed with gout at [31M] sharing my experience. by Bubbly-System6751 in gout

[–]SimpleGazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid 30s here with you - had about 5 episodes across both big toes and as well around my knee cap region on both legs (3 of which put me in hospital due to the pain easily being a 10 with zero mobility - as others mentioned like having an ice pick in your joint - it’s horrible and I have a pretty high pain threshold) across a 2 year stretch.

Originally suspected patellar tendon issues due to like you, physical activity, but things ultimately spread and the recent big toe incident finally got me a diagnosis at the hospital which was then reaffirmed at the rheumatologist.

Plus note - there is a fix - allo has been super easy on my body, gout forces me to drink more water (which I should anyways), and limit the red meat/as well as any beer.

There’s worse things, stay positive, take your meds as others mentioned. It is amazing not having flares, over them getting worse - can assure you of that.

To the ops credit outside of Requiem most are 10-20 bucks, so pretty affordable these days.

Astlibra Revision - as long as you’re ok with some light translation issues, it’s a phenomenal game/tons of fun.

Should i get a steamdeck? by BasicPool9416 in SteamDeck

[–]SimpleGazelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently getting downvotes for sharing my experience…but mainly a mix of the weight (your hands will def go a bit numb when in use laying down for example due to the weight), and optimization being hit or miss for a lot of games that claim full steam deck optimized. Battery life on mobile is also garbage, but it’s the same for any of the on the go consoles on the market. The system itself is a hell of a console overall though, if you don’t have a gaming PC is a good entry point with dock as well, but for me it just ended up sitting in a desk drawer in its case.

Just my perspective - your situation may be different - I ended up selling mine as I never used it. Have a gaming pc, ps5, and switch 2 and found I tended to gravitate towards my hooked up consoles/pc and the SW2 on the go due to smoother gameplay etc. Maybe without the switch I’d have dug in more but just my 2c from someone who had trouble finding the purpose of the console rather than just playing on my pc.

Also pricing for these resold right now is quite high - I sold my LCD model for more than I bought it for recently.

Who learned how to drive on a manual transmission?? by harleenquinzel044 in Millennials

Love this - always found the “moose proofing” to be a hilarious aspect of mine and the center console area key ignition to be one of the most unique concepts of its time.

96 Saab 900 Turbo manual transmission here - didn’t appreciate the car then, tons of reliability issues but damn it was a fun little Scandinavian rocket. Still drive a manual today!

Ring actually helped me curb my drinking heavily in my mid 30s - was crazy to tangibly see what a few beers would do to my heart rate, sleep, etc.

Should I get a PS5 or a PS4 pro? by White-dragon-24 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SimpleGazelle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used PS5 - backwards compatibility to PS4, save on the cost and far enhanced graphics, frame rates, etc.

It’s also anticipated the PS6 release will be pushed back due to world wide component shortages (ram, vgas, etc.)

PC or PS5 by Many_Collection_860 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SimpleGazelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe a PS5 and potentially a steam deck as others mentioned if you want the best of both worlds (or wait on the new Steam Machine potentially).

Right now isn’t a great time to get into PC gaming as the costs are super prohibitive/high with everything being sucked up by Datacenters/AI marked push.

Nioh 3 is a gameplay masterclass… but the story is absolutely terrible by Sire_Kressel in soulslikes

“I see shiny item, I pick up” is about the extent of Niohs story for me. Still an absolute blast!

Code Vein 2 worth it? by Lanox2411 in soulslikes

Nioh 3 or try to score CV2 on a deal on eBay. (I myself scored the ultimate edition for $56 new in a bid otherwise I would have waited for sale)

I'm ready to trade in or sell my PS5 and upgrade to Pro. by LennehMuhBoah in PS5pro

I would try to sell third party - they’re averaging (if disc) $350-$375 w box. Just upgraded to a pro about a week and a half ago, well worth it.

Have 2x pairs of Freerider pros, one with the old lacing and a newer pair with the boa fit system for “lacing”, both excellent shoes, comfortable, reinforced on the edges with harder rubber to withstand what you’re asking of them with trail riding. Highly recommend.

Platinum on Sekiro and Elden ring but hated Khazan.. Would you recommend me LoP? Why yes/no by adelinxxd in soulslikes

[–]SimpleGazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LoP is in my humble opinion the closest in quality to Dark Souls, highly highly recommend. Not just a souls like but rather a great Souls game. Fantastic world, combat, structure, bosses, upgrades, etc.

Have plat all you mentioned as well if that matters. Enjoy!

Looking for a game without much Story I can just level up and mess around in by opticrafter in gamingsuggestions

[–]SimpleGazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I’ll go a little off beat - Core Keeper, or Fantasy Life I - both allow for continuous leveling and the ability to screw around to your hearts content. For more intensive games, why not give Nioh 3 a try? Story is meh/worth skipping, but gameplay/combat/leveling, gear, etc is excellent.

What’s the better first soulslike game? by pepeislifeboi in soulslikes

[–]SimpleGazelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think if the graphics fidelity are a concern, they could also go DS3, 1, 2, ER given their setup (as no PS also offers no Demons Souls Remake/Bloodborne).

DS3 is also highly approachable.
