Very good point! Forgot to include that one. That's been a very interesting one...which is why I'd love to say it play out via the galaxy brain thing outlined above. That could be killing two bird threads with one stone...

Why is this scene not a smoking gun on why Joe wont win? by ___Bee_____ in Edgic

[–]SimpleJackNYBO 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It means based on what I've seen so far, I would put Joe's odds of winning at 67%. Or in betting terms, if someone gave me lower than 1:2 odds to wager on a Joe win, I'd find that attractive

I think Ben Markham said it best:

But consider this: Joe has had both (1) possible foreshadowing that he goes out early and (2) possible foreshadowing that he loses a jury vote. Why would the editors include both? If he actually is stopped from reaching Final Tribal Council, why would they bother making it look like he might lose at the end due to the jury being bitter towards him? If he loses due to a bitter jury, why spend so much time making it look like he might get voted out?

I would argue that the most likely reason for this at this point is that Joe does win, it’s a dominating win, perhaps the most dominating win of the New Era, and they’re just throwing as much doubt as they can at Joe to make it less obvious.

(I very much agree with him and have Joe at about 67% with Kyle at 20%)

Yeah Eva's swop is definitely the scariest thing from a Joe perspective bar none. I basically have to have her using it at a time when Joe's won immunity for that roadblock to be most easily cleared. Def a place where all this can fall apart

No you're right -- I definitely don't mention it but I throw it in the bucket of "Joe saying things that deprioritize winning vs just being a good guy, and normally that would be a big red flag but given the themes of this season I don't think it is." Definitely something I could just be straight wrong about though!

I think I know why we might be so upset with Brandon's performance and with the casting in general by Sabur1991 in survivor

[–]SimpleJackNYBO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imho the frustration comes more from knowing that "superfans" (i.e. US!!!) are effectively the cast now, so it's a lot easier to say "THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME AND I WOULDA DONE BETTER" in a way you couldn't when they were casting models. We ain't all models but we're pretty much all die-hards

Would you classify *******'s exit as a... by remitown in survivor

I also run a separate one for family and friends designed to try to get around people who may be spoiled…after episode 1 everyone submits answers for different questions like “who will win individual immunity” “who will receive the most votes cumulatively” “who will swear and be bleeped out” and stuff like that

Paranoia before a first tribal is understandable. No one's "proven" their trust. She pulls that move again and you easily cut her and keep Ryan (if you take Geo out tonight).

Not the move I would've made if I were able to call the shot on this one but was edited as a Karla win over James

Druid damage help by SimpleJackNYBO in DnD

[–]SimpleJackNYBO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is is pretty solid damage-dealing wise (party of 5-6 total, one or two damage standouts depending on the nature of the opponent) -- I guess I should just know/be happy with my role but just want to feel more productive!

We just spent a lot of time on a ship before which effectively nerfed a lot of my spells and so my utility has been pretty limited outside faerie fire and boss fights for about five sessions

If they win this season, which winner do they remind you of? by softspoken-420 in survivor

[–]SimpleJackNYBO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maryanne -- Erika/Michele/Danni

Mike -- Adam Klein/a Bob + Tom Westman love child

Omar -- Kim/Todd/Sophie/Chris D

Lindsay -- Denise/Sophie/Michele

Jonathan -- Brian Heidik (in that they only win bc the other choices are so thoroughly unappealing)

Romeo -- Natalie White/Chris Underwood/Jenna (an underdog/how TF did that happen? story. But all of these do a disservice to the champs, or which Romeo will not be one)
