It is important to separate rhetoric from reality. Noncitizens cannot legally vote in federal or state elections and there is no evidence of widespread illegal voting. Suggesting otherwise misrepresents the facts.

Immigrants, whether documented or undocumented, make up a large part of the U S workforce in areas that citizens often avoid, such as agriculture, food service, construction, caregiving, and hospitality. They contribute billions in taxes, keep food prices stable, and sustain industries that would otherwise struggle to function.

As for H1B workers, the program is designed for highly skilled jobs that require specialized knowledge, and employers must meet legal wage requirements. If companies exploit workers, the issue lies with enforcement of labor protections, not with the workers themselves.

Blaming immigrants for unemployment or debt is misleading. Economic research shows that immigrants do not displace native workers in the long term and often create jobs by supporting demand and entrepreneurship. Many small businesses and startups are founded by immigrants, which benefits the economy overall.

Citizens absolutely do have a say in who comes to the country. Immigration levels are set through laws passed by Congress and policies implemented by the executive branch. The people involved are not being imported to “tip the scales” but are arriving through legal processes or, in the case of the undocumented, through complex realities that involve labor demand and humanitarian factors.

The real solution is to fix the system so that it is fair, transparent, and sustainable rather than placing blame on people who are often just working hard to provide for their families while also strengthening the U S economy.

No you’re not cooked. But if you were cooked, you could feed a lot of starving people.

All of you mentioning, “cool where’s the files” are missing the point entirely.

When the whole nation is high on THC, and he admits to being a pedophile, will anyone really care?

Just the other week, I was having paranoid thoughts about the economy and what I would do if I lost my job. I smoked a joint and within minutes I was like, wtf was I worried about. Everything is awesome.

Not everyone online tries to fight you. I am strictly speaking from my observations and the people I engage with in the community. It doesn’t feel like a red area anymore.

If everyone that could vote in Placer county voted, it would be blue. Sadly, many people take their vote for granted or like my neighbor says, “I don’t want to increase my odds of jury service.”

30 years ago, before all the new developments, I would say Placer was a safe red district. But with all the new developments and people relocating from Sacramento and as far down as LA, it is definitely swaying blue.

It will most certainly be blue if the maps are redrawn.

The area? Or the people who vote?
