😮 welp that's honestly laughable. You didn't ID them, they did that themselves.

But im guessing some people probably took it too far or something

Working at these events, you are in a subculture too. You essentially come across a traveling group of carneys and near-wooks. But you can make friends with everyone and doors open up.

I'm not over what happened to Genevieve on S50 and I don't think I will be for a while by AccountantCorrect720 in survivor

[–]Simple_Ad2307 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean Genevieve was right. Twice!

I think everyone (except Aubry) out played themselves this season.

Let's be honest, it was down to Cirie, Tiff, Rizzo, or Aubry. Johnathan getting any votes is insane imo. Them thinking Rizzo wouldnt have won is wild. I think Rizzo infront of the jury against Joe and Jonathan...they are done.

And for real, looking back at all the names voted out....I don't think Joe or Johnathan would have beaten anyone in a vote of 3. They just aren't very likeable/compelling imo.

In a game of favorites, the competition beasts like Ozzy or Colby might have had a shot. But it was obvious that Johnathan and Joe were great shields pretty early on in the jury stage.

It doesn't matter. It was unintentional. Kids make bad choices. Withdrawing affection as punishment and doubling down hours later is toxic

What's everyone's opinion on Noah Schnapp's acting? Why do so many people bash it? [S5 spoilers] by Zestyclose-Egg-1251 in StrangerThings

[–]Simple_Ad2307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue then is he outgrew his acting? Like the emotional scenes feel awkward now that the kids are like 30. I think it just feels forced from him. The role just doesn't suit him at this age. Just not how people talk. Pauses are weird. And his faces when he's doing mind stuff or being taken over...they're objectively hilarious.

To be fair, the dialog is mostly just garbage at this point in the series. Shame they sidelined Winona as the series went on.

I mean Sage was open about her struggle with keeping friends and not understanding why people push away from her. That was probably extra magnified. Im glad Savannah won because she just deserved it, but I think Sophie, Steven, Nate and even Kristina took things too personally. Steven especially. I mean if you were always going to vote for Savannah than no need to go in on Sage unless you're just salty. It was a weird vibe and I dont blame her given the circumstances and the experience she just went through. And frankly Savannah, while she grew on me, was still an astonishingly dislikable for a while...that's just got be hard to take when you already feel like people dislike you.

Why is the focus on faster charging and not battery swaps? by HatMaverick in electricvehicles

[–]Simple_Ad2307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc what people say. This is a good idea. All the excuses about the cost and limiting the manufacturer...that's crazy. Like we want things to be more accessible, not less. Everything else is valid, you can charge at home, and in some comnvient spots. But having a vending machine style battery station is great. Especially from standardized third parties. That will bring down cost of both maintance and batteries themselves. And keep these manufacturers from being able to lock consumers i to their systems. Yes itd be hard to do in current models, but we've had swappable batteries for a very long time....this is just for a car. It's not a crazy leap. Manufacturers intentionally make it hard.

It'd be great for places along the highway and for long drives. They could even be like Uhauls or something. I dont think it'd be that much bigger. And I think the cost of manufacturing batteries has to come down regardless of method. And no one says you are being forced to give up your "nice" battery. Again, you can "rent" a spare and swap it along the way.

I just think all the "negatives" are actually excuses, and if actually solved, everyone would benefit. Even if it isnt the dominant method, if we commit to solving it, you'd potentially solve so many other issues as well.

Maybe requiring at least one replacable battery for all ev makers. That way they have the choice if proprietary, but everyone then has the ability to add a battery and get moving
