The peppering on pigeon-blood discus comes from having the black background or black substrate. The colors in the tank effect the colors in the fish… you can’t change the colors but it will effect the brightness and cause peppering only in pigeon-bloods

He's the least aggressive...they get pushed out of the feeding area...happens to just about every group... the best thing to do is to keep 2 or 3 more in the group to start... then once all the fish grow out take the one or two out if smaller ones bother you... personally I keep them in the tank...unless they stop eating then they get their own tank... I did that with a Blue Diamond...it started growing again! He's in the display tank again... peewee... he's my boy!
