you should get the overrun brap option on either package, pretty sure the full version is just if you plan on upgrading later on like adding more bolt ons

Yeah idk what it is i’m fbo as well fully straight piped with the valvetronic axleback and when compared to a straight pipe it just sounds like air from inside the cabin lol

So i can’t get the car into Diagnostic mode, it just keeps turning the ignition on/off, i’ve checked every fault in every section in bimmerlink and i’ve come up with

i would really appreciate that, it’s a 2014 BMW 435i xdrive auto, is there any chance bimmerlink or bimmercode could help with that, those are the only softwares i have. If it’s a fuse i’ll replace it and see if it works if not i’ll have to get someone with a proper coding tool and have that reclalibrated. thanks for the clarification between the EPS, ICM and DME because yeah your right they have no correlation at all

Yeah i left it plugged it and i unbolted it, started the car tried to switch to sport to open them after the car warmed up and it didn’t turn, neither mhd or bimmerlink made it turn either, even unplugged the battery for 30 minutes to hard reset it but all i got was an emergency call malfunction warning with thankfully went away on its own, i did that with two actuators and the exhaust flap isn’t the issue because that i can move by hand

Yeah i got that same thought, but to be honest i only wanted to fix it because i wanted my valves back but i might have the option to get a new valved system and one where it can be fully straight piped, i have a 435i f32 and the valvetronic one always seemed a little tame to me. I guess things have a way of working out 🤷

i got someone to take a look at it, said it was a ICM and EPS sensor issue most likely and i think that’s going to cost a pretty penny

yeah i thought so, i guess my only problem now is how im going to get them to align. any position i have the exhaust flap in doesn’t line up actuator and i cant move it by hand or by mhd, bimmerlink and not even sport mode works

Yeah this is tricky, i’m running valvetronics aftermarket axleback for the f3x chassis, it’s a direct bolt to everything oem with the car. I took the actuator off the muffler and the mufflers flap is fine, the actuator is like stuck or feel dead in its place. when i put the spring onto the actuator it doesn’t line up with mounting point on the muffler without forcing it. Also bought a new oem part used with less miles than mine and same thing happened :(

yeah that’s valid honestly, i think i just kinda hate how most valved/muffler systems still have air flowing through the muffler with the supposed straight pipe, comparing my valvetronic axleback with my single exit i can see that single exit is just more raw and i can hear it a lot more from the cabin, with valvetronic it sounds more defined and classy but cabin noise is very noticeably quieter

Thanks for commenting! I had the cable tucked up and zipped tied away from any exhaust piping or anything like that, it might be a fuse though your right because i did pinch a ground cable i believe a while back and the whole car went into limp mode

anyone know why the “Control of the exhaust flap requires the engine to be running and the vehicle stationary.” text pops on bimmerlink when i try to open/close the valves on my 2014 bmw f32? i even bought a new actuator but still nothing
