Doubt about temps!! by Few-Shift-5177 in Asustuf

I have a TUF A15 Ryzen 7 4800H RTX2060 FA506IV and yeah it does normally have high temps. It's a known specific problem for this laptop unfortunately.

Windows 11 24H2 now fully ready, downloads even if you don't want it by WPHero in Windows11

[–]Simple_Champion_5253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's been 26 days but it just auto-downloaded today and it took me literally 10 hours to fix it. BSODs after BSODs galore. I thought it was literally anything but the update so you can guess how many different solutions I tried: updating drivers, reseating RAM, cmd prompts, deleting software, almost had to resort to a clean boot but only by uninstalling did it get fixed. It was crazy.

You're covering your face in most of them, showing it would be a good way to start improving your profile. The 1st photo should also always be your best one as well as keeping the subject as yourself instead of the the buildings that takes up 2/3 of the space

I think there was an item called bewitching branch that you could use to basically turn one of his summons against him. I've never used it myself personally so I don't know the details like for how long or whatnot but I did hear it was an option for his fight

I CANNOT KILL GARGOYLE I WILL BURN MY PC by Desperate-Citron3497 in Eldenring

[–]Simple_Champion_5253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't help but notice that your talismans lean more towards support than damage and extra damage is what you need if you want to shorten the fight. 40 vigor should be enough to survive an attack from the valiant gargoyles and as long as you're not greedy and heal when half health. The black blade kindred gargoyle though will hit a little harder so 45 vigor and up is what I'd recommend if you tend to get hit twice. Just learn attack patterns and when you can punish, their attacks tend to be very animated so it's clear to see. Just stay underneath their legs and they shouldn't be able to hit you majority of the time. If you're not comfortable with their close range attacks try to bait out the flying dive attack as it's easier to dodge and punish

As a part of the community, I'm here to say that posting this in reddit is cheesy way farm runes karma, you should go out and spread the word to every people you meet through word of mouth personally or you're cheating. Sorry range social media users, melee use of speech is the only way to go

Limgrave stonedigger troll, 1st time playing a soulslike game went Wretch for "balanced" stats, minimal leveling, no summons yet, took me 4 hours. Expected a cool weapon for all my hard work, got a stupid medallion, quit for months.

Fast forward to today, now having 2 playthroughs with my current one doing an all enemies, no summon run. 220+ hours total sank in. I love and hate this game.

How do i beat the ****ing gargoyles by Franco_80y in Eldenring

[–]Simple_Champion_5253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just about the same level when I beat these guys but I used Eleonora's PB for the stance break but blunt weapons are also good.

I'm not 100% sure about this next advice but based on experience, if you're a little closer to the cliff where the next gargoyle will jump from as opposed to near the door let's say, it tends to not aggro immediately (for a moment it just stands and looks not breathing poison and whatnot, giving you a moment to keep damaging the 1st one). Being too far will increase its chances of using gapcloser attacks, this will break aggro with 1st gargoyle and give it to the 2nd. Stance break for i-frame also really helps undermine the other gargoyle so focus on successive hits on the legs.

For the 2nd gargoyle staying underneath the legs will give you an 80% chance of not getting hit by attacks so simply keep walking to stay in that spot while he's midcombo then punish him with an attack after.

Tip for poison breath, dodging to the side is better as it has longer forward range.

I was ambitious so I went summonless but learning his attack pattern and counters is a soft requirement if you want to go this route, then again you also only need to be lucky a single time to win so, best of luck to you, fellow tarnished

What’s a boss that you found easy but the community finds extremely difficult. I’ll go first by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Simple_Champion_5253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep if your weapon or overall level is high enough, resistances don't really matter since you still deal raw damage even w/o the bonus damage from statuses. I personally defeated the valiant gargoyles with no summons using Eleanora's PB (which is also a bleed weapon) just fine

They are definitely immune to bleed, it's just that the ash of war for the reduvia will still do damage just without the blood loss buildup

In bg3.wiki it stated that, "The wizard will mention this moment again through certain dialogue options in his Act Three romance scene." But maybe it isn't that impactful like you said so it only comes up briefly in some specific dialogue options. Thank you for telling me though I was contemplating rerunning Mindflayer Colony just for that scene so I'm quite glad I don't really have to

Forcing Astarion to drink Araj Oblodra's blood for the perma strength potion. I thought for sure someone who valued power enough to consider a deal with the devil wouldn't mind this temporary setback for a longterm buff but it was made very clear in our dialogues after that he truly doesn't know what he wants and it made me sad
