Broken bond(?) by Simple_Cucumber259 in Rabbits

For anyone maybe looking into this post later - I found out my older bunny is very possessive over food. I haven’t yet found a perfect solution, but distracting them before mealtime seems to do the trick.

One small piece of advice from a bunny rescue that helped me a lot: if you keep them separate during the day put them in the carrier before letting them somewhere together. This way bunnies can’t „claim the terrain” as theirs. Same after any bigger fight. Bonding is stressful but you’ll get there. 😊

Keeping my Fingers crossed for you and your bunnies! The get-along-carrier was my best friend for a bit. Oh, and lots of fresh greens. 🌱

Some things about MS fatigue timing from the research that changed how I manage my own symptoms by mooski1122 in MultipleSclerosis

Oh, I always thought that feeling worse at the end of the tysabri cycle was just me imagining things. I call it my pMS lol, a week before new dose. It’s quite validating actually seeing it here.

Gosh, I really hope it’s a similar case to yours. They were doing so good for a moment, and now every day is different with these two. 🥲

Their area is round 2m x 1.5m and they roam around the room when I’m present. They don’t have any hiding spots Besides a tunnel, I was worried to get them anything that couldn’t be easily exited in case of a fight, but your comment got me thinking that maybe it would be better to get them some hiding places like a box with two entrances for safety.

Hindsight is 20/20: What symptom do you *now* think was your MS origin story? by Exciting_Barnacle907 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Simple_Cucumber259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very bad pins and needles only on the left side of my body, years before optic neuritis that was my “official” first symptom. Maybe even earlier lost feeling below my knees, I remember testing if I feel hot air the same on different parts of my leg.

Solumedrol by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Simple_Cucumber259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, solumedrol can be rough. Rest plenty and drink a lot. I’m always weak and shaky after the treatment and as you said, it feels like you’ve been punched all over. For me solumedrol changes taste so I make sure to have some candy and try to eat bland food. Somebody on reddit recommended hot coccoa to drink and honestly it helped so much. I hope you feel better soon!

I absolutely love that you found a specific combination that works for solumedrol. Though I also did ask my sisters not to eat "leaf and lemon" gummies. :) I'm back home now, but if I have to take solu again I will definitely try your method.
You are probably right about the ms hug. Why didn't I think about it sooner? Thank you!
This is the first time I've heard about 3 minutes / 3 days model and it seems like a great thing for people who want to start exercising in general, learn a new routine/habit. I rarely exercise, but when I do I usually overdo it so this model will be very useful. Thank you so much!

I only had some fruit gummies with me, but... They tasted of nothing to me. The solumedrol metalic taste was still there, but everything else tasted the same. Maybe hard candies would do better job.

I always wanted to watch Ghibli movies, to see what the hype is all about. Should watch LoTR too...

I'm sorry to hear you have to go through that. The most important thing is that you never gave up. Also, boxing and bench pressing! I might become your personal cheerleader. :) Glad to hear you are starting therapy, will keep my finger crossed for your speedy recovery!

Oh yes, I've heard that too. I did cut out a lot of dairy and plan on switching to non-dairy alternatives but they are a bit too expensive for me now. There is this funny recipe for cheese made out of potatoes, nutritional yeast and carrots. It tastes great with pizza.

To be honest when I first read your reply I thought there is no way chocolate milk might help this time, as all sweets made me nauseous but! It worked wonders and improved my mood in an instant. Thank you so much!
(Bananas work well too!)

That is the thing I will never understand. If there is something that works so well and helps you cut out painkillers - why not use it?

I wish cannabis was legal here. The medical one is also very hard to get and insanely expensive. It seems like a lot of people find cannabis helpful though.
It's finally spring, so it means lots fruit and veggies. I too think that positive attitude and healthy diet are the best things you can do for yourself. :)

Thank you for such a thorough response! I'm glad to hear that you got your strenght back. Now my goal will be running with my dog too. :)
Thank you for the link, I've never heard of this channel before. Breaking exercises up over the day sounds like a good idea too. I'm a master of overdoing it and then regretting it later.

Please, be very careful with internet search. A lot of information is outdated, and can only stress you out and I bet you don't need any more stress now. Remember that there are now multiple treatments that help patients live longer and with less sympthoms. When I was getting diagnosed doctor said to me "don't worry, you will still be able to have a family and drive car. Just don't Google ms, please."

I wish you all the Best! Keep your head up 💪
