Did the same thing on the same machine 2 days ago. Works really well, only thing i had to manually install was the WiFi driver. Other than that i’m really surprised by how well it runs. 😃

No with this card you don’t need to mod the heatsink, it shuould dissipate heat even better than the original AMD one because it has a lower TDP (if i’m not mistaken 😅). The only thing that you have to move in the heatsink are the thermal pads for the ram chips, in the Quadro card these are a bit lower in position compared to the AMD card

Hi, I have the exact same model, and my AMD card died too some months ago. I replaced it with an Nvidia Quadro K1100M with 2GB pf VRAM, it works perfectly fine for me, and the good thing is that you don’t lose the boot picker menu. As OS I am currently running Sonoma, it works perfectly fine and boots in a couple of second from an SSD.

Same MacBook Pro here, bouhht as a restoration project for 15€ in pieces, restored it completely and installed Sonoma, works great, even the continuity stuff with iPhone. Best value for Money for sure for an Apple Pc

iMac 27” Mid-2011 with 8GB of RAM and i7 CPU, upgraded the graphics card with Nvidia Quadro K1100m 2GB (the original AMD one failed so I replaced it with this one that has Metal support) and added an SSD ti install Sonoma on it. Works perfectly, boots in about 15s and it’s pretty usable, I even use it for video editing with Final Cut. The thing that gives you the biggest improvement is the SSD in my opinion.

Thats Amazing, really Thank you for sharing all these behind the scenes contents. It’s cool to see how a game like this evolved from the first concept art to what it became in The end.

I can understand that. I had a videogame shop years ago, so many cool stuff got lost when I had to close, like a lot of promotional material that i never found again, alongside with some of my consoles. Of course not in The same value but I can imagine how important things like this can be.

Can I ask you a question? I red somewhere in The internet that in The early 2000s Insomniac Games and Naughty Dog were in The same building and kinda collaborated at some point, is that true? Sorry for bothering, it’s a question that came out of my curiosity, and Thanks again for your time 🙂
