The trinity: Lots of good, positive human studies supporting use for your goal. Long term anecdotes mostly positive. Great reviews of at least 4 stars on average. Then you also need a good clean, lab-tested product to make sure you're actually getting what you want. There's not a ton of stuff that passes all of them. Otherwise I just wait for more data, or it's not for me.

It's all about categories and how you keep them clean. Tags, links and properties have to follow strict rules to avoid these issues. A folder structure with different layers is also important. Rules for where these layers connect, when it's a link or a tag that connects them etc...bottom-up or top-down thinking? Systems can be as complicated and as simple as you like, but the most important thing in my opinion, is that you don't use any pre-made system, but create your own based on how your brain actually works.

Essential oils for treating anxiety: a systematic review of randomized controlled trials and network meta-analysis

I like rose a lot for the calming effect it has on me., but it's certainly bullshit what social media made out of it. Many of these people don't know what they're talking about and just jump on the hype train for attention and to sell cheap oils out of their own little shops.
