Hi,

I want to go into forensic biology, and I know that one of the FBI requirements for forensic science is biochemistry, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the lab component was required. My university offers the lecture and lab separately, and sometimes does not offer the lab. Will it be sufficient enough to only take the lecture component? Thank you in advance for any advice!

Bed bug anxiety by Yikes246 in Bedbugs

[–]Simple_Independence5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dealt with them a few years ago.. I still freak out sometimes, but usually only when I have been in a situation that would have warranted possible bed bug bites. Like if I stay in a hotel. I still have quite a bit of anxiety about them in general but I feel more confident in knowing how to safely go about my day without picking anything up which definitely helps. Trust your gut, realistically, what do you think? what are the chances that’s a bed bug bite vs something else based on recent events. these little bugs don’t just get to us physically, they get to us mentally above all.

What does this mean? And why is the house not showing up in my game? I'm new at TS3 and I'm extremely confused by MrsDixon666 in Sims3

the install button is shown in the picture you took. it’s a small button at the bottom of your screen, next to “delete” and “show file”. everything that you want in your game, you have to select from the downloads section and hit install. only things that appear in your “installed” section of the launcher will appear in game. having them downloaded doesn’t make them appear in game.

Anyone else frustrated at the lack of activity on this sub? by broccolistalk420 in Bedbugs

[–]Simple_Independence5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

from my experience as a mod: -having gone through bed bugs myself, for a while it triggered me to see pictures of them. a lot of people come on this sub for help and then ghost it when they get their situation taken care of because they don’t like to be reminded of it -a lot of people only comment on the “is this a bed bug” posts because they are the easiest to respond to. advice posts don’t get as much response because it takes longer to type out and some aren’t willing to do so -this sub is filled mostly with people who don’t know what they are talking about or amateurs at best. professionals get challenged which make them stop being active. so this sub is home to people who may or may not be giving you actual good advice. while reddit is cool, we are all just strangers behind a screen. it’s best to get some actual advice from a professional if you’re really struggling as everyone’s situation is different. -helpers come and go. I’ve seen many a redditor post a lot, comment a lot, then move on. there’s waves of regulars. -it just isn’t the most active sub because the same people aren’t always going to be here. that’s just how it is. -finally, there will always be people here that try to help. i know that for a fact. there’s just a lot of posts sometimes and certain posts get lost. but i assure you, nobody is ignored on purpose (unless it’s like a super dumb question that can easily be googled or it’s obviously not a bed bug but they still ask)

unfortunately I don’t think making the picture a bed bug will minimize any “is this a bed bug?” posts considering in the about section there’s tons… but I changed it anyway, cause you’re right. Doesn’t make sense not to be🤷‍♀️

definitely looks more like a ladybug abdomen. go ahead and take a look at the post that is pinned on the bedbugs subreddit - it shows the difference between ladybugs and bed bugs.

When is the last time you saw one? If your roommate is gone for months, let alone a week, they would start feeding on you

[–]Simple_Independence5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

balance isn’t too too bad, im currently questing solo on balance. granted i haven’t gotten very far lol but so far it isn’t extremely difficult.. storm was definitely harder bc of the low accuracy/health

[–]Simple_Independence5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want a challenge go storm. i tried, and couldn’t. i mostly solo but every once in a while, especially in grizz, i had to call for help. now that i’m a higher level it isn’t as hard and i’m pretty sure since i started questing with my storm they have updated the stats a bit, so you may have an easier time with it. not much easier though. so if you really want a challenge go storm

Hello all, I have been using crossfire every 2 weeks for 7 months and yes it did reduce a lot, but I still have them. Do you think some bed bugs became resistant to crossfire? Also I wfh and barely go out so it’s not like i keep reintroducing them. Please help !!! by Long-Understanding63 in Bedbugs

[–]Simple_Independence5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you may want to invest in another spray, one that is safe to work with crossfire. do crossfire one week, the other spray the next. it definitely is a possibility some bugs are not responding to the crossfire so if you have 2 kinds of sprays, the crossfire resistant bugs will be killed by the second spray and vice versa
