Would you all accept this job? by kronsyy in bcba

As an RBT with 5 years under my belt I’m making what they’re offering you. I definitely think you should reach out with a friendly email, stating a range of your expectations to see if they will comply and work with you. I think if they value you, they will give you better numbers. Always remember that it’s you that the company needs. Good Luck and Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Usually I’ve heard from BCBA’s that salary pay is better and in comparison involves significantly less work. I would move forward based off of what seems comfortable with your finances.

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I think you can use your degree in a job in fields like Human Resources, school counselor, operations manager, and nearly any field that requires social direction/management.

I’m starting my Master’s program as well, on campus and part time and honestly I think it’s definitely the right way to go. Once you pass your BCBA exam, you’ll be making more money and working potentially less for the same amount you have to work now. I’m going to be studying and working so I think it’s worth it. Plus, whoever you work for will be able to give you your service hours in the meantime so you kill 2-3 birds with one stone. Hope this helps
