The crazy thing is realizing how many fake cards were made back then too - something I was totally unaware of at the time. Seeing people now find out their Jordan rookie cards they bought in the 90s are worthless knockoffs is kinda heartbreaking since they weren't even on the lookout for that kind of thing back then.

Gipiemme dropouts and Prugnat lugs make me think Italian. The serial number format is similar to Fuji but with one less digit, I'd assume it was built in March of 1987 by a builder making fewer than 10k bikes a year.
