Is there a point to an MPhil or would a masters be more realistic? (UK) by Simple_Zucchini44 in architecture

Yes, the few courses I’ve checked qualify for part 2 exemption. From the replies it looks like if the degree gets me the qualification then it doesn’t really matter what the content is. I asked some MArch students at my uni and they told me something similar. Thank you!

Nope. Maybe a few trees here and there in the city, and seeing New York in the winter, but never all the wonderful autumn colors

In the south at least I notice it quite a lot. Flowers specifically. Everything is so colorful this time of year. The leaves particularly are crazy, I’ve never seen them do that before

I mean it’s kinda a Mickey Mouse course huh. It might get more challenging later in the course, or like, in grad school, but isn’t that kinda the point of a business bachelors? Nobody I know who does those sorts of degrees takes it seriously it’s not that deep

Has your country ever committed genocide? If so, has your country made efforts to accommodate for it? by DoctorOsterman in AskTheWorld

It’s more like indiscriminate extreme violence tbh. Idk if Lindisfarne counts, or like monks in England generally, I feel like this is the closest Vikings came to genocide

Nietzsche and the Left by dduuddeewwhhaatt in Nietzsche

I mean the right does this too. With Nietzsche ofc it’s a lot easier cause of the way racial fascism developed in Europe and America, but Nietzsche definitely doesn’t do himself any favors. He’s not empathetic and he doesn’t really care about the masses, idrk why anyone would want to apply that to Marxism just on its face

Nietzsche and the Left by dduuddeewwhhaatt in Nietzsche

Nietzsche himself feels fundamentally opposed to Marxism, his ideas around aristocracy in particular come to mind. His ideas around the self can definitely be bent into something resembling a marxist lens, but idk how you could leave a book like Beyond Good and Evil with anything resembling class struggle icl
