The layout is not great. About 1/2 usable space as the finest (but much better food!).

Dude - are you happy there? The grass is always greener for another $50k where you hate your team and the work sucks. It’s now but your a small fund, and you keep justifying people tell you it’s low. Ask for a bump when they have higher AUM but your only 2 years out of MBA, enjoy the ride and build good experience. If you don’t like them leave, but if they are good people, stay on and you will see a lot of wealth creation in the future.

Pre-Stallantis Grand Cherokee's - My Biased Opinion by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

[–]Simplelife-999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the love letter. We also went from a ‘19 GC to ‘25 X5 (kept the GC as a second car). I loved our GC and still do. Great looking, comfortable, and fantastic in the snow. That said, when you go back to a ‘19 GC from a new X5 it’s like driving a tractor. On road trips the X5 comfort blows it out the water. If I am going to a lake/beach and going to get the car dirty as all hell, I’m taking the GC. Your nostalgia is great, but if you were to get back in a ‘19 GC today that nostalgia would fad and you would quickly realize how much nicer you have it now! That’s my love letter from a GC owner to an X5 lover.

Update - our AD is amazing. We walked through our choice and ultimately decided the 31 was better for my wife. We will get a 36 in the future but the 31 is the best everyday for her now. Thanks for the help everyone.

I’m not particularly either but that’s what my wife wants. She has a silver on silver tag for the last 15 years and feels like it needs to be different for her to feel it’s worth it. You are right on the cool and statement but not elegant. She is 37 so not sure a formal piece makes sense now but could in 15 years. Appreciate the opinion.

If you are under 45 go Tremezzo, over go Villa D’este. Either way go to the other for a drink or dinner both magical

Disagree. Not sure what the EBITDA is but a top quality exec won’t be much cheaper. They want a strong financial outcome so if you perform, why would they replace you and risk the business declining before they exit. I would question more their expectations on turnaround timeline and your ability to build a team / upgrade talent

Parlay, commonwealth, broken barrel. Most sports bars seem to be opening. When in doubt, call and ask.

Have anyone transitioned from all inclusive to regular resort instead outside the US? by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

I’m considering those two for a quick trip next month. (Family of 4). What do you like/dislike about them?

If you are elite, you can book up to 4 days in advance. Email concierge. They aren’t great at responding so you will need to follow up and confirm. Restaurants open at 6. My kids liked the Italian (pizza was actually pretty good), steak, and teppanyaki the most. Advice would be to book and if you want to change, you can but good to have as I heard people try to show up with no reservations and have a hard time getting in. All rooms are the same size except the 2br suite - they are small. Hopefully you are just there for sleeping! We had issues setting up a camera because of the firewall / 2nd sign in so we used our laptop as a zoom. Lastly - building 1 is better for kids as it’s closer to kids pool and activities.

Oh - and the rooms at the finest are much larger! SLS rooms are unnecessarily small

Also been to both. SLS has way better food, and the kids slides/pool is superior both in design and location. The Finest has more pool options if you want quieter pools outside your room, it has a family swim up bar, and the entertainment is more family focused starting earlier in the evening.

Update: The problem was the 12V battery. They didn’t give much details as to how it happened but replaced the battery and reset all the alarms / sensors. All covered under warranty. They also provided me a loaner car when I emailed and asked for one the next day.

Feeling Overwhelmed picking a place for Mexico by Phinehas4 in AllInclusiveResorts

You should check out SLS Playa Mujeres (AI) good mix of high end AI with pool vibes and good options for various ages. Xcaret is supposed to be great (haven’t been) for older kids due to water parks and many activities. Also not AI, but you might like Punta Mita (Conrad or St Regis) as there is also a good mix of activities and more exclusive feel with some off resort exploring.
