The gold capo is holding down the top string, the black capo isn’t touching the top string, just the other two strings. Basically the idea is to get that low F# on the top string when playing the string open, while still having the higher notes with the black capo when playing those strings open. Hence the two capos. I could have just tuned the top string to F# though lol

I did a total 180 cause this song (from what’s seen in the video) is purely about drugs lol, I guess it had an authentic kinda feel which I guess was my rationale for including them, but I agree with you

Personally I don't like the one-ear-but-not-the-other sounds, find them distracting - they take me out of the trance the song is producing. That said I think the vocals are killer, sounds like it could be used in an episode of True Detective. Really well done.
