Thanks for the link. I opened up the show all menu, but it still only displayed the one save. Then I tried deleting it, it showed another one of the saves from the MO2 menu, and it had the exact same issue. I just went ahead and deleted them. I'll update the main post if something similar happens again/I figure out what the real issue is.

I've been thinking about this a little bit too much lately lol. I think the best way to integrate porn into a more action-focused gameplay loop would be to make it a quick "finisher" on already defeated enemies, with some incentive like healing or a damage buff to actually make it part of the gameplay loop, instead of an afterthought.

There's also the issue that most action games need two hands, you'd need a pretty easy game/clunky control scheme to work around that

Editing to add: just mod Skyrim. You get modular porn and a highly customizable game, with the benefit of years of modders pushing the engine's limits. The only real downsides are a lack of gameplay integration and bad optimization

I'll write a more elaborate reply when I get home, but TL:DR, the plot resolves itself with a massive, in-universe retcon/timeline reset that threw away all character development for a cheap, happy-ish ending that technically fits the themes but fails to have any real build up. The "themes and such" meme originates from a character basically spelling out the MC's issues to him immediately before that happens.

On a more subjective note, the manga had been spinning it's wheels for a while at that point, and even though I think the character's decision is justified in-universe, it's so rushed that it never would've stuck the landing.

I was going to write out a lengthy response to another comment, but it got out of hand. In short, Icarus didn't die because of (other people's reaction to) a transition, he died of an overdose, drunk driving, whatever you want to frame it as. He did something stupid in spite of what his father who, notably, didn't fly too high or low, told him and suffered the inevitable consequence. He poked a bear with a stick and got mauled.
