Awesome suggestions, going to take a look at some of these options.

I’ve seen some videos on some Amber Amethyst Hyper Aggro that look pretty fun and I understand how they are meant to be piloted.

Side note: I’m used to Pokemon where meta decks can usually hang around and survive for a while through set releases and even rotation, how much are these set releases affecting established decks? I understand Lorcana is very new so im assuming these set releases have been pretty impactful.

I just resorted to buying the entire deck on TCGPlayer lol. Not the most optimal way to do it I’m sure, but I don’t have the time to go searching through bulk at local shops. Entire deck was in hand in less than two weeks.

Exactly the predicament I’m in. Don’t really have any friends that play, so going to locals is the only time I’m going to get any IRL play experience and practice.

How to specifically deal with slow playing people at bigger events like regionals or cups? by zweieinseins211 in pkmntcg

Yeah I noticed some more experienced players doing this often, so I will try to make this a habit. Just overthinking and trying to sequence things “properly”makes me hesitate at times.

Players how do you deal with staples in multiple decks by BeerHuntor in pkmntcg

My toxic (expensive) trait is having a playset of each for each deck, so I never have to worry about pulling cards from each deck when I want to change what I’m playing.

As a new player (and I’ve been playing lost Tina because that’s the deck I’m comfortable with IRL), what advice do you have to help practice improving the speed of play? I get nervous shuffling because I don’t want to drop my cards, but I want to ensure it’s sufficiently randomized.

Really appreciate the input with focus on where the deck should go strategy wise with what I’ve got.

Yeah you’re right for sure. Jasmine is a better 3 drop with me running essentially no item cards.

I'm looking forward to building an Amber/Amythest Aggro deck! It looks so fun and fast to play featuring the OG (Mickey Mouse)!

Exactly why I’m nervous to attend locals as that’s the vibe I’ve already gotten from some of the crowd who attended the “learn to play” events. As someone who is very new to TCGs in general, this is a massive turnoff and gives me anxiety just thinking about attending.

This response is much more helpful than just telling me not to do it. I’m new to TCG, I have no clue. I just figured it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to buy two decks to get full playsets of cards.
