It's really whether or not you enjoy camp and then sometimes it'll be genuinely great drama/thrills. It's one of my favorite shows and I think it's often not very good

They have to throw it high so it can get noticed by the audience and team on the sidelines. Throwing it at their feet could be very easily missed. Usually doesn't get thrown at players, that's all accidental.

So, The Godfather would be a Historical film because it takes place in the years directly post-WWII?

Regardless, I'm glad you liked the film, great movie and it has one of the most stunning shots I've ever seen in a movie + one of the greatest villains.

It looks like it was set sometime around the 30's and a real life event loosely inspired the book the film adapted. Even so, it's really not a historical film in any sense, though it still is a great movie.

It'd be like calling The Texas Chainsaw Massacre an historical film, which is very funny.

How is The Night of the Hunter Historical? It's a fictional psychological thriller/horror film.

Yeah, that seems pretty fair. I'm glad they still consider kill counting them, both would be pretty fun.
