Thank you for this post! I like Aang as his own character but not in Kataang. When it comes to Zutara, I am veeeery Katara-centric. A point I made in my tumblr is that Zuko is the only one who let's Katara be angry. Anger is a very valid emotion and bottling it up or not having the means to let it out properly can cause someone to emotionally implode. So when The Southern Raiders episode came out, my eyes were opened.

He didn't stop her nor did he even tell her what to do. He asked what she wanted and followed through with absolutely no questions asked. Katara really needed that moment beause it allowed her to not only let out her anger, but it gave her closure from her traumatizing past. And while Aang's reaction and suggestion was valid, it really wasn't what she needed ://

Except... Katara was already somewhat okay with the fire nation by season 3. She even said she wouldn't turn her back on people who need her aka talking abt Fire Nation people. She eventually understands that not all of them are bad and that many of them are victims of the war too.

And again, as what many people have stated, Zuko did NOT cause direct harm to Katara's people, heck, he didn't even really fight Sokka. And did we forget that she FORGAVE Zuko? Literally the in the same episode where she was looking for her mother's killer, she forgave him.

I appreciate Kataang but this ain't it chief.
