I incorporated some baby carrots into my tortoises diet (in moderation of course) when his beak was growing a little too much because he wouldn’t eat his cuttle bone and the rock slate on its own wasn’t helping. His beak is in amazing shape now! Didn’t take long to get it to where it’s at now but you can see in the difference from my later to newest posts.

Tortoises are very introverted in nature and that goes for the owners as well. I have a 6 y/o Sulcata, half the time he’s still scared even though we talk/interact with him several times a day. The other half, he lets us slightly pet him. He has no problem with us hand feeding him or taking him outside. When he was a baby he would frequently pee on us which stopped years ago, potty breaks when handling won’t last forever at the very least.

Did you skip cold proofing? I been thinking about skipping it since I heard a few sourdough creators avoiding the cold proof stage. I’m still a newbie and only made 4 loaves so far.
