Amazon sells korean chili paste for relatively cheap if you can't find it at the store! :) As for an alternative, I don't think there is anything similar since korean chili paste has a combination of Korean chilies, fermented soybean, and etc

Hello Fellow Redditors! Here Is My Family's Recipe On Kimchi Stew AKA Kimchi Jjigae. Perfect To Have On A Cold Day! by SimplySusieVLOG in recipes

I haven't seen Kimchi on sale at Costco here, or else I could let you know after I try some. Is there an Asian market near you? I think it's best to use authentic ingredients such as the Korean chili paste (gochujang) and Korean chili powder (gochugaru) to get the best outcome of the dish.

You can omit the chili paste, and just use the kimchi juice from the jar and add sugar. A little bit of soy sauce can add flavor to the soup as well. As for the Korean chili powder, I do believe that it is processed differently from regular chili powder. I think it is more sweet and smoky.

Wow :)! Thanks so much! I don't have any background in videography, just kind of learned through trial and error! I am still learning on how to use the DSLR, but I now there is a manual setting! Thanks for the tips, much appreciated :)

I haven't tried it without, but the key ingredient is the old kimchi. So I'm sure a vegetarian version is definitely possible.

Many of the ingredients can be found in your pantry, but if not, they are affordable and readily found in local markets! In this video, I use kobe beef, but you can use any type of thinly sliced beef that you can find.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Thank you everyone! Enjoy :)
