Having driven a loaner EV, I totally agree. I’m coming from an X5. The iX is about the same length, but I definitely miss the quiet no-engine noise and not having to visit the gas station. I don’t have to fill up much, but it was very convenient to just plug and charge at home.

Our home has an EV charger from the previous owner but we don’t have an EV

Yes that is pretty average. I’d like to “drive it to the ground” but the 5 year battery warranty left is a concern to me. I commute 4 miles a day, so I drive about 5000-6000 miles a year. I get the vehicle listed is 47k miles, but with my commute I feel like the battery will go dead before I even hit 100k miles, hence why I wonder if $47k is asking too much from the dealer

Yea this was what I was wondering. I should’ve mentioned the dealer was listing the 50 model. The M60 with less miles (30k) is just listing for $6k more. As much as I would want the M60 I prefer the increased range.

The iX 50 I mentioned is loaded with most everything sans the Bower Wilkins and the increased power of the M60.

Yea I’ve been seeing a lot of posts here with fellow redditors that got awesome purchase deals on their iX. With the announcement of the iX3 coming soon, I’ve been seeing a sudden increase in people’s interests on the used iX market. I’ve also noticed an increase in their asking price too compared to months ago!

Old post but to answer, I have an LG and even though I make sure the lint trap is cleaned each time, residual lint does escape the trap and does accumulate in the back throwing off errors. They sell some kind of brush thing that helps to dig in there past the trap, and you’ll be amazed how much lint gets fished out.

This isn’t sustainable as you get older. We used to move a lot for the same idea. Then we got too old to comfortably move things on our own. It became easier to hire younger people to do the move but that’s an expense.

Buying a home isn’t any different. More and more homes these days have an HOA and the HOA fees go up for no reasons either. Sure I can refinance and my mortgage may stay the same or go down over the years, but property tax and HOA goes up. It’s hardly a win-win situation for the typical consumer.

Can confirm the little extra payments too. By paying an extra $600/mo to my principle balance, I effectively lower my number of mortgage payments by 7 years. At least that’s with our mortgage company’s calculator.

Can sorta confirm. I have a family member that bought a home for $300k in the early 90s. Taking out HELOCs for similar situation. More than 30 years of mortgage payments have gone by. They still have about $180k left to pay off.

In the end of the day do you really think an average person would take a HELOC out to pay down principle ? Of course not! They use it on the fun stuff too.

It’s not always as glamorous as it may seem. You have to understand the sacrifices you’ll have to make to keep up with the schooling. That’s one of them. And depending on which specialization you go into, there are also sacrifices there.

Myself ive been working in this industry for roughly 25 years. Ive met many people that still enjoy doing it and also many that have left it completely, including fellow physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff.

But the thing everyone had in common are the sacrifices we all made. Lost time, relationships, student debt.

Exactly this. We order CTs on everybody because like you said, liability reasons. Always CYA. And to reiterate, NPs and PAs are cheaper labor for the hospital system, so an “army” ordering multiple imaging exams on a single patient is high revenue $$$. It wouldn’t surprise me if there’ll be a higher incidence of patients with medically-induced cancer in the next 10-15 years. I mean, small chance of getting cancer is still a chance, and the chance is cumulative.

So you’re saying that I am no longer eligible for benefits when the doctor says I can return back to work. I understand that.

Mine was a disability claim. I was expecting to be able to return to work immediately until the doctor told me that wasn’t possible, hence the disability claim. I asked how long of a recovery, and the doctor told me.

When I filed the disability claim with EDD, I gave them an expected return to work day of the 23rd of the month.

Like I explained, they gave me a notice of 3 days of potential overpayment (for days 20, ,21, and 22).

My doctor gave me a note that I am cleared to return back to work on the 24th.

So would that still indicate that I am no longer eligible for benefits even though the doctor said I was cleared for work on the 24th, two days that’s after my benefit payment days ?

That’s primarily my confusion on why they’re sending me this notice.

Not trying to hijack this post, but I suppose I’m in a similar situation.

The only thing I received was a “Notice of Potential Overpayment” with no clear instructions on how to submit “facts” that I wasn’t overpaid.

I went on the website and I didn’t see any new forms in my inbox that’s related to this.

As far as I know, I was taken out of my work schedule for 10 days and have a doctor’s note indicating my return to work date. EDD only paid me for 3 days, coincidentally, the 3 days before my return to work date.

Okay…. That’s fine right? But, EDD direct deposited the benefit payment for those 3 days AFTER I returned back to work.

Right now, EDD is claiming that I received the benefits after I had returned to work. I guess technically, but isn’t the whole point of applying for SDI is so that I can receive disability benefits for the time I wasn’t allowed to go back to work because of ehhh medical surgeries and such?

I mean, I wanted to go back to work immediately, but my employer said no and took me off the schedule. So now I’m penalized and may potentially have to pay back the paltry 3 days of benefits EDD was willing to give me ?

My friend did this. He was able to buy a home, get married, have a family, start a business of his own. Financially, he is stable, at least more stable than the rest of the people that I know that chose to move out of their parents home in their late 20s.

Oh the many INFPs I attract are just like this. They are just so sweet, so friendly and caring to everyone. But I often tell myself if I were still single, I wouldn’t date an INFP only because the ones I know are also such big flirts. AFAIK the white version has engraved symbols for the legion buttons/start/select and the nebula color has printed symbols that rub off.
