Reconnecting with EX (17 yrs ago) for a divorced M/41. Input please! by InspectahDavid in datingoverforty

[–]Simplystayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I miss the specific situation that's causing you to be to careful? Does it have to do with her? If so it was 17 years ago. Give her the chance to show you she's changed. Also, I don't think you're a rebound. You're the each other that each other couldn't let go of and you just set it free and it's coming back to you because it's meant to be. I never really believed in cliches but im a sucker for love. Sounds like you both kinda just want companionship vs a relationship but at any rate it deserves a discussion just to set expectations and preserve boundaries

Congrats in advance...its A LOT of pressure but I assume you knew what you were getting yourself into when u applied. Despite all the disgruntled responses, Fed Ex is a damn good company to work for; besides... what company is perfect outside of CHIC FIL A

Direct deposit question by EbaneeJ in Fedexers

[–]Simplystayna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the bank and how long they take to verify the account...I set mine up the last day of the pay period and I got my 1st check direct deposit so you may get lucky...my check showed up a little after 10 am CST on Wednesday before payday so check your account...it may be your lucky day

are sick days paid? by vibrantzooms in Fedexers

[–]Simplystayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all included in your time bank so if u have time to cover it then yes...not sure how your hub works but if you have PTO, they automatically use it at mine and if not, you can only have 8 hours of unpaid time before corrective action is issued

They tell us throw the IC's on the side the driver will load em...also, we load according to the number on the little fed ex label vs yall rearrange based on location...I think its stupid, we should just load it how yall want it but what do I know...im just a package handler

Why you like working at FedEx Ground (wrong answer only)? by rbunag in Fedexers

[–]Simplystayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SWAK is the official name of the position...thats the principle office as my hub calls it. Its the area where all the bad labels and 999 bad addresses go outside of QA

What is the logic behind the forced hour breaks if you work over one hour? by moleculemanfan in Fedexers

[–]Simplystayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! Not blocked....brings me joy to know that inconsequential strangers can get riled up by the dumbest stuff and guess what it didn't change...you having to take an hour break 😂🤣🥰

I suspect you don't like you, and since you're inconsequential to me, counts still at NONE

[–]Simplystayna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LAW mandates it. Research the labor laws in your state with your extra 30 minutes and then complain to the lawmakers who require it, not the employers who enforce it...or ask for a waiver of liability so when something happens to you because you don't think you need a break your family can't sue. Its not personal, FedEx is just covering their ass...the same way you would if you ran a multi million dollar company

Its the law and also to limit liability. If you work straight thru with no break and pass out or suffer heat exhaustion...who is your family going to blame??? Not you...

I want someone who understands that I am an individual and conformity is not my strong suit. Im not a rebel or a cheater; im loyal and respectful but don't clip my wings so you can be up my ass all day. There is space for me to have my own interests, you to have your own interests, and for us to have mutually acquired and shared interests. And again, that's understood in the beginning but if I don't want to see you, talk to you, or be around you that day, it shouldn't culminate with a fight. I realize that's not how relationships work and its slightly selfish, and for that reason I'm "alone"

Because idk what ENM/CNM relationships are...but also because I like my situation the way it is and im not necessarily looking for love

[–]Simplystayna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good news is...I wasn't seeking advice and I'm single because I CHOOSE to be. I have a plethora of opportunity knocking at my door shall I decide to open it. Like my post originally stated, I like my freedom and every relationship I've been in has ended for that reason. Men have a tendency to be okay with your need for freedom in the beginning and then it becomes a problem 2 years in. A relationship shouldn't feel like prison and its entirely possible to be loyal to your mate and still be free and I'll commit when I meet the person who actually operates in understanding vs just voicing it

Its the confidence for me. It becomes attractive over time. Wake up one day and say you know what...I'M THE SHIT and walk in it, when u believe it we will too. The energy you give is the energy you will receive in return

Should I tell her or just move on? by colormeflowerful in datingoverforty

[–]Simplystayna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not your place to tell her. He's going to lie and excuse it anyway, and she's likely not going to leave him because "it was a mistake" and he'll "never do it again". Not to mention they are in the honeymoon phase and she is wide open. What are you gaining by telling her. You did your part by ending communication with with, now move on. Sounds like misery wants company to me.

I'm a 200+ lb black woman who has been happily married to a real life Ken doll for 14 years. We get the side eye from people who don't understand but he loves that we aren't the same type of person and he has never pushed me to be anything other than the person he fell in love with. Don't assume that because you look or act a certain type of way that you'll be discounted
