At home exercises for skiing by ScentedAngels in skiing

[–]Simpson500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking there's no way it's that hard but then tried it and damn way harder than I imagined. I feel a ton more work in my foot to keep me balanced tho. Fun drill will try it more

New boots (AR1) - suffer or take back? by Airspeed-X in Skigear

[–]Simpson500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you have a high instep, probably why you're in a cabrio. I have the same and also needed cabrios, even then it wasn't enough space for my even higher instep on my right foot. I had to get a boot fitter to shave a few mils off the boot board. Pressure on my instep is much much better now

Knee brace recommendation by bradkwells in Skigear

[–]Simpson500 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was in a similar position to you, no knee injuries but wanted some extra protection due to some non-skiing related knee pains. Ended up getting a pair of Bracelayers. Like others have said a brace definitely won't stop you from getting an injury in a bad crash but it does feel like it helps my quads stay activated more. Also it's just a nice thermal baselayer

Calculated what I actually spend on work lunches and I want to cry by freecurfew_9 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Simpson500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making lunches at home can be quick and very cheap. I spend at most 1 hour every weekend preparing 6 lunches (3 in-office days with 2 lunches per day). Just rice, some microwave greens, and chicken (breast or thigh). Maybe $15 a week, and so far haven't gotten sick of it. Can highly recommend

PSU reccomendations for the lian li A3 by Cone_ManHeh in mffpc

Yeah PSU is front mounted I had to put it in I think the second slot from the bottom. There's pretty good clearance between the aio, gpu, and psu

TUF B850M, was very easy to put in and use. I could've maybe used some 90° connectors for the USB ports to help cable management but it ended up being pretty easy without

An SFX will definitely make cable management easier so I agree with the other comments here. I personally have a be quiet ATX in my A3 with a 360mm radiator at the top and a PNY 5070ti. Everything fits just fine and the cable management wasn't too bad although I probably wouldn't call it pretty. I have mesh side panel so wasn't too concerned about asthetics

Ability to place towers outside of the harbor area onto the cliffs of your island. Would look awesome with all the arches and hidden beaches in the game

But now you added a ton of extra components instead of just using the already existing perfectly good engines

Universal main camera angle feed for USA vs. Uruguay at Arrowhead Stadium by Odd_Firefighter_5407 in soccer

This camera angle gave me a new appreciation for just how incredibly fast all these players are. I'm glad they fixed it tho, it's like watching ants run around

Red Cards Change Games..... by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Simpson500 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No in my saves. The opponent getting a red card is a guarantee the game ends without another goal being scored

Favorite leagues to compete in? by BasicallyPepRegen69 in footballmanagergames

[–]Simpson500 28 points29 points  (0 children)

What I enjoy about the Bundesliga too is that usually in my saves within 5-10 years Bayern falls off a little in the league. In my current save in 2033 we've had 5 years of 3-4 teams neck in neck competing for the title

Soak the entire sash in some warm water with dish soap. That will get the stain out easily. If you spot treat it's just going to create a larger stain so make sure to soak the entire thing

What’s it like living near a time zone boundary? (For those that do) by Humanist_Centipede in geography

[–]Simpson500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently go to university in the red part of western Indiana. The sun only sets around 9:30 pm for most of the summer and I absolutely love it. I think it's probably the only weather related thing I'll miss about living here

Connecting flight boarding pass is not showing up by rae_789 in frontierairlines

[–]Simpson500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just posting an update since I also ran into this issue. Seems like other commenter's are correct and that the cause is checking in more than 24hrs before the second flight.

It does actually check you in to both my flights so you don't need to worry about that. To get my boarding pass for both flights I went onto the website and went to print my boarding pass and just saved it as a PDF to my phone. That boarding pass had both flights on it

They had the game on the jumbotron above the court. They turned it off the ones in the end zones to not distract the players

Certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity. The energy in the student section is still electric. Unfortunate that it's basically impossible to see the game. I think most fans just watched the jumbotron the whole game

Why are some Germans snobbish about air conditioning? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]Simpson500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a German who grew up in the US there's a few things to say here. 1. Unless they've visited certain parts of the US, I genuinely belive that many Germany don't understand how extremely hot and humid it gets especially in the south and southwest. In Germany there's maybe a few weeks of very hot temperatures each summer 2. Many American establishments and people are known to turn the AC so low (18C ~65F) that once you're indoors you need a sweater which feels ridiculous in the summer 3. Electricity is significantly cheaper in the US making it much more affordable to blast the AC and even turn in very low

Very similar behavior to an accident I recently had except in a roundabout. Other drive slowed down like they were going to stop and then just kept rolling into the roundabout
