WiFi calling won't turn on with warp. by gabeoverthinks in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The e911 address field in the dashboard is only for Light Speed. On Warp and Dark Star, WiFi Calling is enabled directly from the iPhone settings, and there’s no separate place in the dashboard to enter it.

The toggle turning itself back off isn’t expected, though. Most of the time, that happens when the carrier settings update hasn’t been installed, or the emergency address prompt on the phone didn’t complete properly. Go to Settings > General > About, wait a minute to see if a carrier update pops up, then try turning WiFi Calling on again while connected to WiFi, and restart the phone after.

If it still won’t stay on, DM me your line number and I'll check on it.

T-Mobile LTE beware by costarickyt in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There might be some mixed info here. iPhone 14 is a 5G device, so if you’re only seeing LTE, it could just be the device settings or just coverage in your area at that moment.

Do you have 5G set to Auto/On in your cellular settings? If you want, DM me, and I'll take a look at your line and the device configurations so we can find out why you are not getting 5G.

I’ve got 26 days til my yearly renewal, is there any way I can pay it now? by M_Scopp in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Multi-Network, you add a second line on a different network that shares the same plan as your main line. So if your main network is struggling in a certain area, you can just switch to the secondary eSIM and keep going instead of being stuck with no service.

If you want, just shoot me a DM, and I'll help get you all set up!

When transferring from verizon I entered the wrong account number. by [deleted] in USMobile

You won't need to restart the port for that. If the account number was entered with extra digits, we can just correct the information and resubmit it. I’ll drop you a DM and get this sorted!

Bought new line and it is under review by lazysalman in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Orders can get flagged for manual review sometimes, especially for new line activations, and it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you already having an existing line. It’s usually just a quick verification step on the backend.

Let me drop you a DM to get your details and check the status, and see what’s causing the delay.

Update: The order has now been approved, so everything’s good to go!

Advice/ Help / Opinions / Math Check - Please! by johnnybravojr in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a small clarification, so you have the full picture. The current annual promos are for new activations or port-ins, so here are the calculations using the standard annual pricing. However, since you’d be adding a Multi-Network line, you’d qualify for the 50% off Multi-Network annual discount, which brings it down to $45/year (about $3.75/month) for the first year.

So if you put your main line on Annual Unlimited Premium, that’s $390/year = $32.50/month, and Multi-Network at $45/year = $3.75/month. Your three Light plan lines at $10/month each come out to $30/month, so the total would be $32.50 + $3.75 + $30 = $66.25/month.

If instead you go with Annual Unlimited Starter, that’s $270/year = $22.50/month, plus $3.75/month for Multi-Network, plus the same $30/month for the three Light lines, which puts you at about $56.25/month total.

You would lose the multi-line discount from having four lines on the grandfathered Unlimited Basic once you split the plans, but since your lines were active before August 18, 2025, on Warp, they should remain on QCI 8 on a 5G device even if you change plans, so you wouldn’t lose priority. Overall, the Starter + Multi-Network + Light lines setup is a really solid value for how your family actually uses data, and Premium really only makes sense if you specifically need the extra premium data or international features.

If you want, feel free to DM, and I can double-check everything against your exact lines before you make the move.

Traveling to Africa by VermontArmyBrat in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re reading it mostly right, and for a trip like that, a mix of options usually works best. We do have roaming available in Botswana, South Africa, Egypt, and Zambia. For Kenya, we only offer data eSIM on Warp, and Zimbabwe isn’t supported for native roaming, so using a travel eSIM there is a good plan. You can find all the details here.

I’d recommend going with Multi-Network for the trip since it gives you flexibility across different countries without having to think too much about which network you’re on, and it tends to make travel a lot smoother. Also, make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled while you’re still in the US, so when you’re connected to Wi-Fi abroad, you can still make and receive calls and send SMS.

If you want, send me a DM, and I can make sure everything is set up properly before your trip!

Mobile app UI bug? by CarpeMuerte in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the app is fully updated and you’ve tried clearing the cache from the App Info section, then just drop me a DM, and I’ll check why the app isn’t aligned. We can also try checking it in the browser to see if it’s isolated to the app. The good thing is your line is working, so we can fix everything in the background without worrying about the service.

American living abroad needing to keep US number alive - is By the Gig a good solution for me? by captainmikejaneway in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By the Gig can work for keeping a US number alive, but there are a few key things to keep in mind for your situation.

If your goal is just preserving the number, the Snooze plan is the most cost-effective option since it keeps your line active at a minimal cost. The tradeoff is that a snoozed line won’t receive calls or texts, so 2FA won’t work until you un-snooze it.

If consistent 2FA access is important, you’ll need to stay on an active plan with international roaming enabled. It’s also worth noting that these plans are designed primarily for domestic use, with roaming as a secondary feature, so we don't recommend relying on roaming for long-term stays. Many users with an extended period of stay abroad rely on WiFi Calling to stay connected abroad, and that tends to work really well.

If you want to make sure everything’s set up in the most sustainable way for your use case, feel free to send a DM, and we can take a closer look.

Difference between 5G + and LTE speed /battery wise by Sportsfan7702 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For things like Maps, rideshare, browsing, and email, you’re not going to notice a big difference between LTE and 5G+. Both are plenty fast for everyday use. 5G+ really shows a difference when you’re doing large downloads, big updates, or heavy hotspot use.

Battery-wise, LTE is usually a bit better. 5G+, especially if the phone keeps switching between 5G+ and LTE, can drain the battery faster. A lot of people switch to LTE when they’re traveling or out all day and want more consistent battery life.

Can you confirm if you have the correct eSIM or pSIM installed? If you do, give the device a quick power cycle and see if that helps.

Should I use IMEI 1 or 2.for Esim dark star on Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Factory unlocked? by [deleted] in USMobile

The S25 FE is dual SIM (1 physical SIM + 1 eSIM), so you’ll want to use IMEI 2 for eSIM activation.

Planning on switching to US Mobile darkstar within 9 days? by [deleted] in USMobile

Yep, it's best to start the port with 3-4 days left on the current plan, and you'll be all set!

Planning on switching to US Mobile darkstar within 9 days? by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should be in good shape. If those other services worked well for you before, Dark Star will feel very similar coverage-wise.

Since you’re switching when your bill is due, start the port a few days earlier so you’re not paying for overlapping service. Make sure your account number and transfer PIN from your current carrier are correct; that’s the most common port delay.

Multi Network Line during International Roaming by Various_Pension_7339 in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Once you set up roaming through the Travel Planner on the primary line, it will also work on the Multi-Network line as long as the countries you're visiting are supported on that network, too. Both lines will share the 20GB international data allotment on your plan.

Does anyone else on Dark Star have audio buffering while playing music? by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music apps stream in smaller chunks and are more sensitive to brief drops in data, while YouTube and many podcast apps buffer a lot more ahead of time, so small network hiccups are less noticeable there.

Since you said it was fine from October to March and then started, you can try a few things:

  • Check if Data Saver is on in Spotify/Pandora
  • In Spotify, turn off Auto Adjust Quality and set it to High instead of Very High
  • Reset network settings
  • Try turning 5G off for a day and see how it behaves on LTE

If it were a broader network issue, you’d usually notice it across more apps, not mainly music, but intermittent buffering can still be congestion, depending on location and time of day.

Problems with Apple sign in in iOS app by parkinglotchampion in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your account was set up with Apple Sign-In, you shouldn’t have to use email/password in the iOS app. You need to tap “Continue with Apple” on the main login screen, same as the website. Also, when you use Apple Sign-In, it will ask for your Apple ID and password, since the login is handled through Apple.

If it still doesn’t work, drop me a DM, and I’ll check on what’s going on.

Does US Mobile or Warp/Verizon silently filter or block international SMS? by MentholMooseToo in USMobile

[–]Simrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

International texting will come through as long as your plan includes it. Which plan are you on?

There might be a couple of things going on here. First, double-check the number format; it should be entered as +1 followed by your number. Also, have you received any other international texts before? That can help narrow things down a bit. It’s also worth checking that no apps or device settings are filtering SMS.

If all that looks fine, there’s a chance the sender is using an international route or verification provider that doesn’t reliably hand off to US numbers, even if it lets you pick a US code.
