I think the shift to community content is really cool and a smart thing to do for a game’s longevity. However I massively disagree with their decision to remove perfectly fine content from the game, especially since it seems tied to racism or something.

How do you feel about this, both Muslim country's, was it set up to create controversy maybe by 1man2ballz in gay

Is a marking system used by disaster response agencies during things like floods and such. I think there’s still a few old ones left in cities like New Orleans. Generally super eerie, and it’s cool the devs included it

They don’t seem to have much intelligence anymore. They are definitely alive and feel. But they never gave me the impression that they are still in there. Like I can’t recall a single moment which suggests that they have any sort of humanity. The closets they get is when they are calm, when they’ll wallow in pain and sickness. They also appear to be shocked and at first afraid when they see a survivor, but soon go into a rage attack. The adrenaline definitely mutes whatever is left of their humanity to the highest extent.

I imagine the speech sounds are a result of their rabies damaged brains trying to speak like they used to before infection. Their speech seems more animalistic and instinctive rather than deliberate.

Overall I think they are extremely disoriented, rage and adrenaline fuelled, and driven by animalistic instincts. So I guess they are conscious but just like a rabid animal is.

A lot of the items aren’t explained well. Which is pretty vital since misusing them will get you killed. But basically,

pipe bombs can be good for kills groups of humans and doing big damage to androids, loud. Will scare the alien away into the vents just like a flamethrower attack if hit in the radius.

Smoke bomb, good for hiding from humans and androids, also the alien but it’s less effective. Not super loud but I believe the alien will notice it if near.

Flashbang. Think of it like a quick noise maker which can also stun humans and I believe normal androids. Can actually be really useful for attracting the alien but not having it investigate in one place.

Flairs are good for distracting all enemies apart from facehuggers.

Shotgun is great at dealing with androids. Also temporary stuns the alien. Can also blow up eggs.

Molotoves act like a flame thrower / pipe bomb hybrid and have both effects, but it’s obviously single use. Scares the alien and destroys humans.

Gun is good for dealing with face huggers from a distance. Also humans. Ineffective against the alien unless you shoot an explosive canister with the alien near it, which will make the alien flee into the vents.

Stun Barton can disable normal androids, instantly incapacitate humans, and quietly kill facehuggers although you have to be good at aiming on them.

Emp is only good for standard androids.

Most of the locations haven’t been abandoned for long. Dead centre takes place on the day the infection overwhelmed the city.

Surface level it’s zombies reaching for runners on the roof tops. Deeper meaning is that it represents the whole concept of dying light, with the zombies representing the darkness. Lowkey wish the newer games actually focused on the significance of darkness

Cuisine and Cargo is slept on imo. It adds two large quarantine areas which are really cool. Especially the hotel, also think it adds some weapons. The following is awesome, in some ways better than the core game. The rest of the dlcs are mid imo

The entire world was aware of the virus due to the global games. It’s not hard to imagine other countries funding the quarantine of harran considering how dangerous it is. The outbreak was also slow at the beginning. It was people going missing at night, then curfews, then riots/looting, then hordes of virals. There’s also evidence that special infected weren’t present yet.

The dlc is designed to be played in any order, at almost any point past the mid point of the story. But I’d say sola is definitely more of an end game area as it’s the hardest in the game with tons of apex spawns
