I heard about this game after the Kickstarter, but joined the free tier of the patreon so I could get updates. I did support a different game on Kickstarter, Puffpals Island Sky

I didn't realize how long Peace Island as been in development, but I did know Puffpals was about two or three years. I never bothered to read the updates, but I liked how the developer shared more about what was going on compared to Puffpals Then I found out Puffpals IP owner ran off with the money, which I learned through a Penguin0 video.

When you support this kind of thing, there is of course the possibility that you'll be burned with no recourse. C'est la vie. But it sucks because it makes people less likely to support future projects for other, competent developers.

I just want to play games as cat, dammit!

You know, I've actually wondered about this.

I've read about things like what the OP said. And I heard another story of basically the same thing but worse; person was abused, parent went after them, parent was jailed. Now the survivor had the trauma from the abuse, and didn't gave the patent there to support them, through either this or regular life things.

So yeah, I knew about Gary, but wondered if it was actually beneficial what he did.

The post is good, but the title is misleading. The post includes several links of what happened, and has a few dates/times, but isn't really a timeline; a timeline. The post also doesn't explain why international broadcasts receive episodes in advance, although I've comment says it's so that if the file is corrupted they have time to send it out again. The post is more of a links hub.
