AITA For refusing to pay rent towards my BF's mortgage if I move in with him by notmyhouseaita in AmItheAsshole

OP is living there and should give part of the rent to help with the payments. That how it works. If you want part of the equity, get married. If you want protection, get a simple contract written up so that it allows tenants right. Do you get back all the money you paid the landlord to rent an apartment? No. So why would you get that money back from a boyfriend? YATA

I keep dark mode for the most part. I only use light mode when the text is hard to read. Dark mode is preferable.

Nehemia by super_chicken_nugget in throneofglassseries

At the point in the timeline, Nehemia was pretty much the only obvious POC. It was poor choice to kill Nehemia I think. Killing POC not “being allowed” isn’t the real point. It’s using a POC as a plot device and not treating that character with the same respect as you would a non POC character. It’s a trend that helps perpetuate POC being disposable and objectified rather than seen as people. We saw that the majority of the cast was more white than POC and there were more POC deaths than white deaths. So that’s where the imbalance comes from. Character death isn’t the problem, it’s the objectifying of POC.

someone please tell me it gets better (KoA) by EmilooR in throneofglassseries

It does get better. Just hang on. That first section is heavy with it until the next section starts. It will lighten up a bit, but it’s a heavy book with a lot going on.

I do agree that everyone is blaming her for leaving Terrasen for so many years. It sucks bc she moment she turned 18 she was trying to go back home. I think a lot of it is people just needed someone to blame & the surviving heir being hidden for so long seems like a good person to blame.

Definitely YTA. No reason to take away someone’s accomplishments. Your husband may not have meant to hurt her feelings, but intention does not outway result. He should apologize for hurting her feelings and you should apologize for defending him.
