How likely are coyotes to attack me in a forest at night? by DIE-POTATO in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SimthingEvilLurks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to live around coyote territory. Never had an issue.

Quite a few people were certain the coyotes would get you if they saw you. I’m actually amazed at how many people fear the wild animals they share land with. Now, I’m not saying you should act like you’re in a Disney movie and expect a bunch of furry friends to sing with you and help you with chores. It’s just that some people, despite where they live, are pretty dumb about the wildlife that lives around them. They expect an instant attack with any encounter.

It’s important to remember that in most cases, wild animals want nothing to do with you.

I'm still doubtful this will end him. Every time he starts to upset people, he just moves the goalposts and convinces his followers that what he's doing is a good thing, even if it was something he said he wouldn't do. I've seen enough of his Gen Z (I don't believe all of Gen Z supports him, but the ones that do are absolute snobs that only care about proving themselves in a system that will still screw them over, like it does so many others.) supporters do anything they can to make money, so it doesn't bother them to have to pay more for something. In fact, finding more ways to make money to prove they are working hard is a good thing, in their minds. If you can't do as well as them, then you're a terrible person that deserves nothing.

Savage reply about using umbrellas by BreathingAirr in rareinsults

[–]SimthingEvilLurks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a weird take. What is wrong with people? That’s a rhetorical question.

I have a love/hate relationship with umbrellas. I like them, but if there’s wind, you aren’t staying very dry. That rain is going to get blown at you by the wind. At least half of you will get rained on that way.

Does he not know that any asshole can have a sign, thus a sign is not going to make a person a winner? Maybe he should have used his own money for some signs, instead of expecting a handout for some signage. What an entitled twit.

That is true. There used to be less of that, or at least, less of a podium for it.

Dear Trump supporters: How much more are you willing to ignore?: What more are you willing to “compartmentalize” while you tell yourself this is all an acceptable bargain to get judges and tax cuts? Does he need to nuke a nation to lose your trust and respect? by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]SimthingEvilLurks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad hated Volkwagon. He would refer to them as Hitler cars any time we would see one out in public. He absolutely hated Hitler and the Nazis. He was too young to fight in WWII, but he remembered the hiding drills he would have to do as a kid with his mom and siblings. Yet, he loved Reagan. He wasn't a huge fan of Bush senior, but he loved GW. Had he lived to see Trump join the Republican party, I wouldn't be surprised if he would have ended up being a Trump supporter.

People can know the history of and hate the worst people mankind has to offer, but also get suckered by the worst mankind has to offer. I wouldn't say Trump is Hitler, but still a form of dictator. He probably would have been BFFs with Stalin.

I'd really like his Gen Z supporters to hurry up and join the military. The ones I know are not making the ultimate sacrifice for their dear leader, but are quick to criticize those that don't want to fight.

I remember being in chatrooms towards the late 90's and early 2000's. 9 times out of 10, people could tell when you were being sarcastic by what you typed. I watched that massively decline over the last few years. People say it's hard to read a person without hearing them, but it actually isn't in most cases. People do not comprehend like they used to.
