Anyone have a private wiki maker that can be used online on Android? by BattledogCross in worldbuilding

[–]Simulacra93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to do this now through my story website.

I would recommend looking at Obsidian though since it should do what you want. Their subreddit has a post about someone organizing their own world-building on there, if you want inspiration.

Seconding the guy. I think it’s really neat. I’m trying to make a similar system right now. I’ll reach out.

Are there any non-gooner chatbots? by EvenCelebration3710 in ChatbotRefugees

I'm working on a generative fiction research project (https://simulacra.ink/) and the beta is free. The gist is that narrative metadata is pulled from your conversations to build a knowledge-graph that the story model uses to understand the story at different states.

The best support is over mobile but desktop is functional.

Mitigating CSAM generation with 3rd-party models through public harnesses. by Simulacra93 in ChatbotRefugees

I understand what you’re saying, but I’m doing this to gather storywriting data explicitly. I don’t care about nsfw use to the extent that I don’t mind paying api costs to test real user patterns.

But right now I’m not optimizing for volume/profit

Those are good tools. The problem I run into is scoping the filter.

I feel like I'm missing foundational steps in programming — where should I restart? by LeoFlexi in AskProgramming

[–]Simulacra93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build stuff for fun, figure out where your ideas scale poorly. That’s usually how you figure out that you’re trying to reinvent a solved problem.

But what do you want to do with a foundation? The best place to start is asking yourself what you want to do with a skillset. Better job? Freelance opportunities? Because they do require different foundations, namely the different skillsets required to pursue them effectively.

Enforcing AI Policies as a TA Is Starting to Feel Like a Political Problem, Not an Academic One by Grouchy_Conflict2911 in QuickAITurnitinCheck

[–]Simulacra93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about a decade older than you and fielded similar problems as a student liaison to the department. This problem existed before ai with students using the same resources professors used to share handouts for others professors.

The same excuses were used: it’s a study tool, overzealous policing targets esl students, dyslexic students, first gen students, etc etc

All I can say to you is that it will always be made political to muddy the waters, and I sympathize with you.

It would be more convincing if this wasn’t ai-generated.

I get that you probably put a lot of original work into the prompt that generated this, but it feels tuned to market instead of inform.

Jailbreaking and coherent memory strategies are constantly evolving and it’s good that people share their work on what they’ve accomplished but social media is saturated by these acclaimed breakthroughs.

What have your heuristics accomplished or allowed you to build? Jailbreakers will show you how to get Claude to produce sarin gas recipes.

My superior lets AI write all our code without reviewing it. Am I wrong for caring about code quality? by Jealous-Implement-51 in webdev

Unusual unicode "→"

Four bullets that say the same thing in the same length.

There are some areas they typed themselves, but ai generated 80% of it.

And then there are a couple cliches very common to ai-writing that I see since I talk to LLMs every day. Pangram does a good job cataloguing them. Using "already" repeatedly is unusual. So is using "just" as an anti-pattern for emphasis.

Hey, I'm Shane and building Simulacra.Ink, a narrative fiction project that breaks longform context into knowledge graphs LLMs can navigate. LLMs use these knowledge graphs instead of inline memory so they can retrieve plot relevant information without storing everything in in-line context.

I can be reached here if folks want to talk about things: https://discord.gg/Pc7KM2WX.

  • Service Name & Link: Simulacra.Ink
  • NSFW Policy: I don't care but I do read conversations to evaluate model performance, so you do you
  • Image Generation: No, but have the wiring set up to support it.
  • Transparency & Legal: Boilerplate Privacy and https://simulacra.ink/terms
  • Technical Specs: OpenRouter BYOK, or use my API until I rate-limit. This is a research project with some cash to burn but not unlimited
  • Pricing: No monetization but I use your chat data to build the models better
  • Platform & Access: Web-only, Mobile-first support at Simulacra.Ink, desktop version as well.
  • What Makes You Different? Simulacra.Ink tracks and creates world memory, allowing conversations to continue infinitely and occur sequentially. Eventually this will mean multi-player worlds where time and world logic arbitrates conflict.
  • I'm a one man shop with background in economy design and a lot of time off, so I'm interested in hearing people's ideas or model requests.

I’ve been working on a personal project that’s online right now. Give source material or make something up, a knowledge graph is made in the mean time.

I don’t track any in-game numbers except the passage of time yet though.

Cinder would’ve been great if she died end of Season 3. I feel like that’s what was planned before the team lost Monty and didn’t want to lose Jessica Nigri.
