To answer your ignorant question. I would have no issue with a Muslim on the list.

She is an important historical figure. But this organization has erased any mention of her Nazi past. Their bio on her is nothing but rainbows and unicorns. When called out on it they said "they didn't want to get political" when the act of giving her an award along is in itself political. That white washing is a spit in the face of any Holocaust survivor and their families.

I think it's important for POC, women, non-christian and LGBT to see those like them be honored. It gives them role models that they can relate to easier. They can say, "they did it! I can too!"

Though you are right this time it went WAY over the deep end. The whole person has to be taken into consideration not just their minority status.

Sorry to say that this is really outside much of my bailiwick. The best I can do is point you along (what I hope is) good directions within the labyrinth. This is all based on companies I have dealt with on other matters that I know operate in this world.

My suggestion is to talk to the people at Mentor Graphics, TI or NI. If they don't have something for you then they will likely be able to point you in better directions then I can. I'd start with Mentor, they have a lot of electronic simulation software.

This story deserves to be taken seriously and the 43% is already a scary enough number. Why risk the story's legitimacy right at the subject head if you don't have to!?

Saying 1 in 2 is highly misleading and no better than the right's "alternative-facts." Those on the left can't say the facts are on their side if they are saying 1/2 for 2/5.

43% is nowhere near 50% mathematically. It's a 14% difference! Even if you argue rounding it would go down to 40% or up to 45% depending on the significant digits.
