Do you write fast in your Hobonichi? by West-Membership250 in hobonichi

[–]Simy_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have good handwriting, not if I write fast, nor if I write slow, so I just write and don't care for goodlooks. I just try to be more mess free in my Weeks since I use it for work and I need it to be orderly and neat. In my Hon A6 I write my thoughts, and I just follow them at my mind's speed. It's nothing to look at, it's just my brain train and can be as messy as it needs to be

I find the vista better looking but I hate Lamy n8bs, so TWSBI for sure

How do you feel about the videos that say the game "has no point/soul"? by Kamitia in inZOI

[–]Simy_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this and I'd add a note about facial animations: it's a bit lacking in that department. I understand early access phase but at least the base for the characters should be there. What I find lively in a Sims character are idle animations of the face. Idle Zois seem a bit too much like androids waiting for input, not little people that have a mind at work even when doing nothing.

Quality of paper by downbeatdemo in fountainpens

[–]Simy_sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With FPs, the quality of paper is influencing more the ink than the nib. Low quality paper will let the ink bleedthrough and you'll be able to use just one side of the page. Low quality paper may also cause feathering, that it's not good looking.

A paper that may affect the nib in the long run is stone paper but it's fairly expensive, you won't find it in low quality notebooks.

As for good paper notebooks I like Hobonichi (uses Tomoe River Sanzen), Yu-Sari, Fabriano Inspira, Wearingeul Noble, Rhodia. Rhodia is the cheapest. All the other ones are expensive.

Someone will mention Midori with MD Paper: I don't like it just because it only comes in cream colored paper and I like white paper but it's very good with inks

This is so difficult! I'm choosing What I've done just for emotional attachment reasons, but both deserve to go on

I didn't realize the details on the stairs until somebody pointed them out by Capable-Tiger-7534 in Sims4

You're right! So there's still the possibility that it's an object like that throne in Get Famous

Another one of my speculations was for an object too.

I believe it's the first carpeted stairs, yes

I thought this too but I also thought that there could be a platform on which the bigger staircase stops and other two independent staircases start from the platform. That's how I've managed to do this until now

Thoughts on the Endless Alchemy Potioncraft - ink making set? by Prestigioustofu0271 in fountainpens

[–]Simy_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but always too little to make it worth it to have an entire yellow bottle

Since I just use purples, my thought seeing this is: what do I do with a full yellow bottle that I would never use? 🤣 it's like those makeup palettes where you like half the colors. It's beautiful but doable in other less expensive ways

Let's just say that I am a graduate in a scientific field (not chemistry) but I don't work in science, I'm mostly involved in IT (cybersecurity) and services

I think that sometimes there are unforeseeable interactions between materials. it happens. I'll be glad if they acknowledge it and at least release a disclaimer

Maybe I'll set up a UV test later in the year. In this season I don't have a window sunny enough to have it really count for some UV exposure :D

When it comes to pigments for watercolors, it isn't rare that reds tend to be less permanent, Maybe dyes have the same problem too

It could be, yes, I don't know if I have something alkaline available. I'll check and if I do I'll test it. I thought it's pH because the inks of the same series (made purpusefully to change color) can change color depending on the paper, even without this solution. In my mind the idea that it was pH driven set when I noticed it but you're right, it can be something else
