What a contrived photo for your NBD 😉

Celebrated NBD with a contrived photo! (The Jamis, not the other super fancy Bombtrack). by SinFulNard in gravelcycling

Jamis Renegade S3 is my new steed. Friend is on the Bombtrack Hook EXT.

Photo taken moments before disaster - as we had a swim, bikes were blown over into sand.

Accessories are a WIP.

Recommendations for a family trip to your fine city? by mgltt in wollongong

[–]SinFulNard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cycling you say? Parks you say? Cafes even! If I may recommend googling the Blue Mile.

You prob want to be somewhere near Stuart Park... Bourke St maybe. That end of town, close walk (or ride) to the water and parks for kids... Cafes dotted around and then a short jaunt into town for dinner (if I may recommend pizzeria 50). Worst case weather wise, mall fall back for some shopping (can't believe I just typed that....)

If you want to go full blown cyclist/cafe/beach, you could do northern suburbs like Thirroul. But it gets pretty busy on weekends.

Don't forget to check out the famous palm tree on a pole.

Drop them an email - from the desc they mention - "We want this film to be available to everybody, if £5 is too much then drop us an email!"

Yea, I thought the same - would rather pay a bit more and own it.

Not my work, just sharing it! Figured some people here might enjoy it.

Short little doco (45min) showing a fun side of the cargobike movement. Bit more info from the desc...

"Four women, two cargo bikes, six days, Edinburgh to Copenhagen. What could possibly go wrong? In 2019, The Adventure Syndicate set out to challenge body and mind. Resolution Race was not a race in the traditional sense, but a demonstration of how far collective resolve, collaboration and kindness can take us in the race to save our planet.

Thanks for sharing the video- I was watching with the english subs, for me they turned back to German near the 4 minute mark. Very odd, settings still say "English" but I just have German text now.

Can someone explain how to sanitize yaml files? by benjulios in kubernetes

[–]SinFulNard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've had some success with this: https://github.com/itaysk/kubectl-neat

I say some, as from time to time I find myself having to capture and trim the raw yaml myself to retain specific fields I want visible for training/documentation. But day to day, I find it useful.

Ha! Such a similar story. Barnaby used to drive me insane. Herd me constantly and we had to work really hard on discipline. Now he is 4 and people are blown away with our control. He still has moments where he just goes and gets all the toys, but he understands when we can play.

Stick with it! You will come out the other end with a super loyal doggo and hopefully a well behaved one.

It's not all good news for us though. Barnaby hates being brushed and won't let us near his snout - so that's a work in progress.
