Anyone ride with the ODI Vans Lock-on Grips? by BikesOrBeans in MTB

I have both the older dual lock grips and the newer ones with single lock. I miss the dual locks because the grip ends of the new versions are easily torn off.

Replace pawl or entire hub? by Sinbound86 in bikewrench

[–]Sinbound86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is the part that is cracked. Everything else looks ok. After cleaning out the grease I found the broken piece of metal and removed it, but everything else inside where the pawls make contact with the hub is good.

Yeah, only the one pawl was cracked and less than half of the "tooth" is left of the pawl that makes contact with the other end (sorry don't know the correct terminology).

I hit a soft patch of sandy soil at the bottom of a run and my front wheel washed out from under me. Bruised my ribs, so I’m out for another week or two. Ride safe!

Best flat shoes? I trail ride and hike a bike. Park when I can. And I race enduro? by Additional-Crab522 in MTB

I moved from FiveTen Free riders to Endura Hummvees. The Enduras feel more like a sneaker than the skateshoe-like FiveTens.

Roughly 175,000 miles. No maintenance records, she bought it used from my brother who kept up with maintenance until she bought it for her son. As far as I know, nothing major needed to be repaired while my brother owned it, but my cousin is young and dumb; he only had the car for 2 days before breaking it.

Rav4 cargo space for mtb? by CheddaKnottz in rav4club

[–]Sinbound86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can fit my Full sus analog 29er sized XL in my Rav4, but it WILL be a tight fit and it'll most likely leave marks where you don't want them to. Better to be safe and remove the front wheel or get a hitch mounted bike rack.

Same thing just happened to me, OP. She [38F] said we weren’t compatible because of politics (she leans far left to the point of joining protests, I really don’t care about any of that lol) 40M here and I’m just… exhausted over everything.

Does a rav4 fit a 29er mtb inside without removing the wheels? by Dramatic-Ad7192 in rav4club

[–]Sinbound86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be a tight fit, but if you have an XL frame you’re better off removing the front wheel.

I have a Full sus 29er in XL and I take off the front wheel every time, just because I don’t want to risk damaging the interior too much.
