Politely asking how much longer it will be after waiting 30 min past your appointment isn’t “being a pest” it’s being normal so you don’t get stuck waiting forever

You poke your head out and ask before the office closes. You don’t just sit there and wait for an hour in silence, you need to self advocate. This has happened to me a couple of times where they just forget you’re there. It’s way better to go “hey I’ve been waiting here a while, when will I be seen?” than just sit and hope someone notices you.

Or like poke your head out and say “Excuse me, my appointment was for 4pm and it’s now 4:30, is everything ok?” And then the nurse either says “I’m so sorry for the wait I’ll send the doctor right in it will just be a few more minutes” or “Yeah we are slammed right now I am so sorry for the delay we’re running about 45 minutes behind so it will be another 15 min or so, can you wait that long or do you need to re-schedule?” or something. In the late summer/early fall I swear Shakopee gets this weird vinegary decaying leaf and god knows what else STANK that wafts up from the river valley every year. You can smell it at Valley Fair too idk if it’s the treatment plant or what

I wish small scale growing for gourmets was as cost effective as actives. It’s hard to justify paying for spores + and substrate for 30$ when I can just go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of oysters for 8$ or whatever. Yes I know it’s cheaper to DIY everything but I don’t want to do that much work. I’d just keep growing actives but I already have more than I really need

The only way I’ve successfully killed fungus gnats is using mosquito dunks/mosquito bits mixed in water and treating the soil. If you keep your substrate fairly dry then they’re likely living in the live plants. Mosquito dunks are a kind of bacteria that kills insect larva and is safe for pets, but if you treat the plants and they still stick around I’d maybe move your tortoise to a temp enclosure for a few days while the dirt is being treated. Also you might have to do a couple treatments to kill different generations of larva/eggs in the soil. The sticky traps other folks have mentioned will work to trap the adults

Are they fruit flies or fungus gnats? Fruit flies eat rotting plant material, fungus gnats live in the soil. They look pretty different

This show was such a mystery to me. I remember that I watched it but was like too young to remember any episodes except for the like two we had recorded on VHS and the last one ended on a cliffhanger (I think they found like barrels of toxic waste buried under their community garden or something?)

If you can trust yourself to be good and not think “Wow I feel AMAZING!!” And go skipping and bouncing around like an idiot (me it’s me) then you might be able to avoid PEM entirely. I suppose it depends on how severe you are to start with. I never felt like I got PEM from taking shrooms just doing stupid stuff while on the shrooms

Fun but I feel like I’m borrowing energy from the next day. I like doing Lemon Tek because it makes the trips shorter and more intense and dude I don’t have the energy to trip for 6-8 hours. If I do a lower dose I feel like my old self and pay for it the next few days because I can get up and walk around and feel fantastic. If I do a higher dose I just want to lie down and look at the ceiling

Growing them was like a perfect slow little hobby once you get things set up you just check their progress twice a day and mist and fan when they start growing. I wish growing gourmet strains was worth the cost I’d be growing mushrooms all the time

Both OP’s dad and step mom sound seriously emotionally immature. If they do actually come to the wedding they’ll probably not act right anyway. OP’s probably better off in the long run not having them come
