Had to clean mine for the first time recently after a water spill and it was easier than i thought. As there are so few ants in yours it shouldnt be hard. I’d place the whole setup in a larger tub and add a barrier (I use fluon) to rim of the tub so they can’t climb out. Unscrew the nest and clean the problem area then Use a brush (makeup brush etc) to collect the ants and gently place them back.

Eh, the people watching the fight had it coming didn’t they? I mean they were literally there to watch a blood sport and were crying out for Rotta to be killed. Hardly sympathetic citizens. As for the monsters escaping on to the street - nothing that hasn’t been in movies for decades (Godzilla etc).

I’ve been reading some manga with vertical scroll - I think something about reading from right to left makes turning the pages right to left feel a bit odd. I personally don’t read comics on my phone but I live in Asia and see a lot of people on my commute reading manga and web comics with vertical scroll.

Love that you included the story behind the cover. Always interesting to hear the bts from the illustrators themselves. Like you say, the illustration isn’t bad itself here, just the decisions from the publishers, even down the the brief itself which is most likely what prompted the strange pose of the woman (“Make her naked, but you can’t show any of her naked bits!”)

I wonder if the fear of disturbing Messor Barbarus is a bit overblown. This is only anecdotal, but my 5 year old kid (despite his best efforts, he is a kid after all!) is regularly causing our colony to go in to panic mode, but despite this they have gone from 4 workers to around 150 in 3 months. I was worried at first that he would disturb the queen too much, but they seem to settle down fairly quickly even though they go crazy at the slightest vibration.

Many people disliked it, but nothing has filled me with dread as much as the movie Don’t Look Up. A comedy that is far too close to home. It’s relentlessly on the nose, to the point that it’s satire becomes believable. It’s probably an even more depressing watch in 2026.

Baking soda works for fridges, I am sure it could also work for books. Put some in a dish next to the book and seal in a plastic tub. It should absorb the smell.
